Bethel Village Motel

"This is a nice inexpensive hotel. No frills. No microwave. Has refrig. The rooms are always clean. The owner is very nice. Customers send cards and letters from all over the country to the owner. Has coffee to go in the morning in the office area. If you are passing through or looking for an inexpensive place to stay while skiing at Sunday River, this is a good choice. Sunday River is about 7 miles away. I recommend!"

"I love this place, it has really become my home away from home. Ruthie and Kevin have been so welcoming from the first time I arrived 7 years ago. Ruthie makes sure "my" room is clean and ready with a light on and either the heat or air condition going. Since I started coming here I haven't stayed anywhere else in the area. Thank you Ruth and Kevin! I'll be back soon!"

"Great little motel! Stayed here with my two daughters while skiing at Sunday River. Fantastic price, less than 10 minute drive to the mountain, and walking distance to plenty of dining options (plus a supermarket) in Bethel. The rooms are small but extremely clean and well maintained. The owners are super nice, and go above and beyond to make their guests happy. When we return to Sunday River, we will stay here again! The only thing I'd caveat is that the rooms (at least ours) had stand-up showers, no bathtubs. This was fine for us, but if you want to soak in a bathtub after a day of skiing, you may want to look elsewhere. There was plenty of hot water for the showers, though."

"This motel is a great choice in the area. The rooms are cute and very clean - there’s an old fashioned charm to them, although the amenities work as a modern room should. The hosts are very friendly. There is a selection of tea and coffee available in the mornings, which is a nice touch. The balcony area has lovely little seating spots for watching the world go by. All of this was for a very reasonable rate. We will continue to stay here whenever we visit Bethel."

"My husband and I have stayed at Ruthie’s once or twice a year for a number of years, now. We love it there! Ruthie has always accommodated us with the same room with a view of the lovely town of Bethel and, in the summer, we can enjoy a complimentary cup of coffee (from self-service in the office) sitting on the top deck and read and watch the people go by. The room is always spotlessly clean and comfortable. If you’re lucky enough to catch Ruthie or Kevin when they’re not busy, you will also enjoy a good neighborly chat."
