"I’ve had chronic pain for many years. Nothing debilitating, but annoying none the less. I’ve been to traditional physical therapist to address one of my issues. It took weeks to get an initial appointment and by that time my issue was not as serious anymore. I came in for one session with another problem and the therapist could not address that issue because it wasn’t part of my initial reason for seeing them. It was six weeks of ice packs and routine exercises that were not designed to figure out the initial cause of the problem. It’s not their fault that my new issue couldn’t be addressed, That’s just the way traditional healthcare works. I know from experience since I also work in healthcare. PhysioX was a recommendation of my trainer. Dr. Adrian is my therapist and he helps me understand the root cause of my issues. He designs a personalized program to address my pain and takes the time to teach me correct technique. I came in with chronic foot and new contralateral knee pain. This was not my initial reason for seeing him. Dr. Adrian was able to examine the issue and come up with exercises to address it on the spot. I woke up the next morning with no pain in that foot. I’ve been able to walk faster and use that foot in ways I haven’t been able to in years. It’s been a month without that nagging stiffness in my foot. I’m now a believer in PhysioX’s philosophy. Dr. Adrian and Dr. Jia are knowledgeable, personable, and attentive. PhysioX is the kind of minority-owned small business that I always look to support. Thank you both for being brave enough to go outside of the traditional healthcare model. You’ve made a difference in the way I feel in my day to day life already."
"Dr. Jia and Dr. Adrian are real-life wonder workers. I went to Physio X at the recommendation of my trainer and now lifelong problems with posture, back and knee pain have disappeared. I'm in better physical health in my 60s than I was in my 30s. I can't recommend Physio X highly enough!"
"Before working with PhysioX I had several issues with knee pain and ankle instability. I kept repeating the series of injuries and continued to build a big fear of recurrence. I couldn't step off a sidewalk without being fearful that I'd re-sprain my ankle. I kept my exercises on the more moderate side because I didn't want to risk hurting my knee again. When I worked with my therapist at PhysioX, I instantly understood that things were going to be very different. I wasn't given a hot or cold pack, I was working directly with the therapist and not the assistant or someone in training. I wasn't given mindless cookie-cutter exercises anymore. What I had was a deep discussion with my therapist who went over so many different aspects of my relationship to movement with my body, that I had never considered. The other thing I enjoyed were the treatment rooms and the vibe of the entire place. It's peaceful, elegant, and welcoming and I don't feel like I am in a hospital or typical bland space. To top it off, there are great snacks, the staff is warm and friendly, and they have an app that I could use with my therapist even when I was traveling. My issues are both resolved now. Even then and again when I start thinking about doing something new I remember what I have learned during my work with my therapist and can rely on that information to make "informed movement," that is also spontaneous. The biggest thing I've learned is to re-trust my body. I can't thank the therapists at PhysioX enough! Also, check out the countless videos and tutorials on their YouTube channel."
"I started seeing Jia a year ago for elbow pain that kept me from doing any heavy lifting at the gym. Back then I told him that I wanted to be pain free so that I could learn to play tennis and rock climb. A year later and I just took my first private rock climbing lesson and spent the summer learning to play tennis. Jia is amazing. He is attentive and listens to you and helps you navigate the cause of pain while also treating it and helping you get stronger. He’s kind and passionate about what he does, and that’s something I respect the most. I cannot recommend him enough…in fact he’s the PT I recommend to all of my friends."
"Before working with Dr. Adrian at Physio X I was having some uncomfortable and quite severe pain in my hip following any of my runs. As I am in the midst of training for a marathon distance race this was so frustrating to me. As a personal trainer I did all the things I could on my own to try and figure it out but ultimately decided to head over to Physio X to see if I could get some guidance. Dr. Adrian was wonderful, he was so personable and I felt heard when explaining to him what I was dealing with. He really took the time to break down my exercise and athletic history and truly understand my background before we began, and even after only 2 sessions I saw a tremendous improvement and am able to stay on track with my high weekly mileage. He also has been wonderful in following up with me regarding the exercises he gave me to do on my own and how I’m feeling overall. Additionally, he took the time to explain why and how the exercises would help me improve, rather than simply giving me a list of rehab movements. I would recommend Dr. Jia and Dr. Adrian at Physio X to anyone who is having issues or nagging pain, they really get to the root of the cause of your issue rather than just finding a way to “get by”. Thanks so much guys!"
