Renys Department Store

"I've been banned from the store. There was an incident where I was being silly It offended the woman working in the shoe department. I was attempting to put a dollar on top of the shoe boxes because I couldn't put them back in order when I got there they were a mess. I was later told I couldn't shop there today I tried again to go in and I was once again approached by store management. I pushed enough to get a reason that I threatened and employee. An employee I had known from the five years prior as someone who was well trained in martial arts first of all I don't think I'd threaten him and if you saw my stature I'm not a threat to anyone and if you knew me I'm even less of a threat. That aside would be exception of one clerk back in the day who may or may not be there but mostly management is exceptionally rude. They feel hassled when approached they never smile and they don't look happy to be there. Most of the employees don't. I've been to the front desk where they're standing around waiting for one of the other to help. I spent thousands there because I live right around the corner. I had even decorated a wall in renny's paper bags as a testament to the main adventure. Now I caution anyone to go in there It's not a good adventure. My experience may not be the same as others being thrown out probably the wrong person but I have known that the manager was not a nice person and is not a nice person nor does that person ever smile and is not professional looking or courteous. That was my experience prior to my issue and it is currently my experience based on today's treatment of me. Won't even listen to the apology for doing something silly that I now believe isn't even related to whatever they think I did. As far as I know now it's someone said to one of the staff or went to their house and told them about me. I've never had an unkind word said to me in Portland other than this I've never been accused of being anything like this I am overly empathetic and I am an advocate to the unsheltered performing outreach in my community. This issued should be and needs to be addressed. My recommendation is don't shop there You won't have a good experience You may get some cheap prices and you may get some overpriced items but you won't get smiles from management. That's in store management I don't know who runs the show backstage. But I hope this goes in the complaint file the same manager has been there for some time."

"So many things to look at and amazing deals ❤ tons of pillows and bedsheets, soaps, body washes, shampoos, conditioners, cleaning supplies, dish washing supplies, hardware, boots, clothes, candles, cookware, servingware, towels, small kitchen appliances, kids toys, clothes for ALL ages and genders, etc. Lots of amazing deals and very well stocked!!!"

"There is such a wide selection of goods here. From Does and Boots to Blankets, Craft things and pet needs. It's a great place to check out, especially when moving into a new apartment, or if you need an appliance for a current home. All of this-AT GREAT PRICES!!! I love just walking around this store, window shopping inside, lol! That's when I decide what I need or want and I will come back when I have the funds. I'm going to buy Christmas gifts from Reny's this year!"

"Loved the product. Great pajamas & tote bag. Lots of great stuff! Will shop again- Will not however be asking to be pointed towards hoodies- The man said 'what we have on the floor is what we have on the floor' without even letting me finish my question. When checking out, The cashier decided to help the second customer in line after me & then ANOTHER customer, 'because she only has one thing'. I was in a hurry & I really did not appreciate that. Great store though!"
