"My friends and I chose to take our money elsewhere after a visit to this 'concept store.' The bell at the entrance was the first note of pretension, and the salesperson's overzealous hanger correction act while following us around the store, made it clear that our money wasn’t welcome. It truly felt like a parody of the famous scene in Pretty Women when she is treated so poorly in a shop on Rodeo Drive….except it was a trying too hard storefront in Portland, Maine. The clothes may have been lovely, but the salesperson’s rude attitude and inflated ego was a deal-breaker. In the end, we opted for a shopping experience that values customers and leaves wallets feeling appreciated."
"The staff seem to believe they are entitled. Doing you a big service by waiting on you contemptuously. We just came from David Woods where personal service is exceptional. Hard to believe walking several blocks in Portland Me can be a different universe."
"The curation is absolutely stunning. However, I’d never give this establishment my money. From the moment I stepped in I felt as though I didn’t belong. There were 2 other parties in the shop and they were greeted, and checked on multiple times. The store assistant was so unfriendly towards my party and I. I didn’t feel I could ask a question without being judged. It was all very pretentious and I don’t care for it at all."
