Reviews
"In town for my birthday weekend, and we wanted pub fare type food this evening. A quick google search popped up Brady’s, and showed great reviews. 4.4 for nearly 400 reviews. One has to wonder where and when all those folks ate here because it clearly isnt the same restaurant we ate at. Half the place is a bar and half is a restaurant. We sat down at a table in the restaurant side, after a brief 15 minute wait. We did call ahead and were told there was no wait, and arriving just a couple minutes later we were a little surprised but 15 minutes isn’t a big deal. We were given menus and began to review them. When the waitress came by, I ordered a frozen drink from the bar and was told they put “their ice machine away” and can’t make frozen drinks. If half your business is a bar I would have expected to order most any ordinary bar drink without issue. A daiquiri shouldn’t have been a good deal. The waitress also never told us of any specials but we later heard a waitress tell another table what the specials were. We ended up ordering two glasses of water, a Brady Burger(the only beef burger they have on the menu) a fried chicken sandwich, and an order of onion rings. 20 minutes later we see onion rings placed on the counter in front of the kitchen, where they sat for the next 15 minutes or so. Our water was delivered at about the 30minute mark. And the now lukewarm onion rings came to the table with our entree baskets. The onion rings were large, crispy and tasted overbearingly of unseasoned flour, and had no dipping sauce. The friend chicken was crispy, a little too much so, and resembled having been friend alongside or within the same oil as friend fish, and had the same over-floured, under seasoned taste, despite being a hearty portion. No one ever checked back to refill beverages, ask how everything was, bring us anything else, etc. it was a dump and run kind of service and we certainly didn’t feel as though our business was valued. Overall, non attentive staff in a restaurant serving over-rated, under-seasoned, food priced more than it’s worth. Save your money and find a different restaurant to try."
"Loved Brady's! Stumbled across this place while looking for a lunch spot and it's really great. Good food, cozy atmosphere with lots of seating and corn hole outside during the warm months. Oh and the view of the water doesn't hurt either."
"Drove to Boothbay and decided to try Brady’s based on the good reviews. We we severely disappointed. We parked in a handicapped spot as one of our party is handicapped and cannot walk far. The manager came out and told us to move because they would need that spot. She finally stopped berating us once we pointed to the handicapped tag on our car. The haddock chowder had no haddock and tasted like it was just potatoes and milk. Our food was bland and when the waitress asked we politely said that it wasn’t very good. The manager came over saying “Is there a problem?” We told her that the food was bland to which she replied “Fine. Then you can leave.” And proceeded to try and take our plates away while we were still eating. Overall, very unpleasant and confrontational woman who cannot seem to take constructive criticism. The earlier reviews of this place are much more accurate. Not worth the time or money."
"This was a nice restaurant in Boothbay with a great view from the end of the harbor. The lobster roll was $26 and it wins the award for the smallest roll in downtown, I was amazed when they brought it out, it looked like it should be for a kids menu. I had 7 lobster rolls while I was in Boothbay so I know what the difference is and this one was not impressive. Service was average although they did make a mistake on the bill and they made a mistake on the order. Overall the food was good and the ambiance was good."
