"I was SO excited for fresh tuna based on the reviews. I ordered the tuna carpaccio which should be thinly sliced. It was tough and stringy, not tender at all. Very disappointing!! Don’t bother going there."

"We have been to Boothbay Harbor many times but this was the first time we ate here. I wonder whether it was because it was so tucked in. Anyway, the food was great! Lobster and shrimp Alfredo was excellent; all the other dishes were great too. We asked to be seated outside, without realizing the spot we were put in, the last open spot, did not have any ocean breeze but under a very hot sun. I wonder whether the waitress should have warned us. anyway, we enjoyed the food even though we were toasted ourselves. next time i will check the location out before committing to the seats. also, on the second floor, there are two bathrooms available to the patrons. one of them is very very tiny and the lock does not work. they should have kept that for their own staff, because i had made up my mind not going back ever to the restaurant if i did not see the much bigger and much nicer rest room by chance. here it is a picture of the hook on the door from inside."

"Corn cakes were a bit dense but the pesto on the tomato stack was amazing (as far as vegetarian options). The Tuna tartare was loved by my hubby. Kids devoured the fish n chips! Nice view. Was easy enough to get a table sat night 430p"

"First off, I believe it was the owner greeted us and explained some fascinating details about oysters from the Atlantic Ocean. What a plethora of knowledge graciously bestowed upon us. The super friendly staff took care us from when we walked in until we walked out. Cudos for that! The food was outstanding. Perhaps the best Mac and cheese consumed by humans, EVER! I had my first northeast lobster that didn't taste like dirty dishwater. And I've tried it in 3 states at a minimum of 10 places. The oysters stole the show for us. We mixed 3 different types of oysters in a dozen. The jumbo oysters were gargantuan and took a few extra chews. But DAMN they were worth it. The fish and chips and fish tacos were equally dynamite! The batter could use a little funk added to it. Just plain batter is just plain boring. They were the best fish I've ever had in fish and chips. Point blank period! The place was clean and we had the best eating experience in Maine at this restaurant."
