Reviews
"Stopped in here for breakfast while staying in the area to visit the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens. The seating area in this restaurant is rather small, and the benches and tables appear to be hardwood, homemade from many years ago. Don't expect a world of comfort in your seating, but do expect some great food with a few interesting choices. It looks like the present owners have only had the restaurant for a limited period of time and are still getting organized. Besides the regular breakfast selections there are a few south of the border options. If you have difficulty managing stairs, this may not be the place for you as there are several steps to enter in the front. Also, be prepared to wait if you arrive after the crowd has already been seated. Having said that the staff was very attentive; prices were reasonable; food was served quickly; and the quality was quite good. This is definitely a place worth checking out for a good quality breakfast."
"Highly recommend the corned beef hash with rye toast. The toast was beautiful. There seems to always be a wait to get in due to limited seating, but it is worth the wait."
"Was the only place open for sit down breakfast but food was mediocre. The Maine blueberry stuffed french toast was alright, but was regular blueberries not the wild ones. The potatoes were good, sausage was decent. Pancakes were lacking on blueberries and a bit tough. It was very noisy and hot inside. Coffee was decent."
"Very busy breakfast place, and well worth the wait! The dining room is cozy and crammed. The Hangover Hash I had is next-level delicious, and they don't scimp on the portion size at all. They slow cook and shred the corned beef in house, and it's amazing. The marble rye bread toast is perfect with it. The Blueberry stuffed French toast is so good. Loved this place."
"There's always going to be a small wait to get a table here for breakfast in the summer, but it's completely worth it. Portions are hardy, prices are low, and the food is delicious. I recommend the Benedict's- their Hollandaise sauce is amazing, and there is plenty of it poured over those delicious eggs. They also serve mimosas and beer in addition to typical breakfast coffee, tea, juice etc."
