Lion's Den Tavern

"This place exceeded my expectations! We drove to Waterville to go to another favorite eatery, only to find out they weren’t serving food at the time. We asked for their recommendation as to where to go and they suggested The Lion’s Den. So glad we came! Very clean, lots of seating, delicious food. The fries are top notch! Their special rum punch drink came in a little bucket and that was an incredible bargain for the price! The burgers were huge and cooked just right. This was a great find and we will easily return."

"I went to the Lion's Den at noon one day with an odd drink request, an Aqua Velva mentioned in a movie that took place in the 1970s. They were able to make it and it came out perfect. I also ordered a BLT wrap, which was the best tasting BLT anything I'd ever had. It was quiet, which was nice. The staff and service were excellent. I'll definitely go back soon."

"I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant as I had heard such great things. I don't feel it really lived up to the hype. The food was fine but nothing special. None of us liked the food enough to bring our leftovers home. Service wasn't great. I did like the atmosphere. I may go back, may not."

"The food was excellent but I have to say that when the waitress brought our plates, she should have noticed that the portions were different. The two pieces of fish were so noticeably different it wasn't even funny. One looked like a child's portion the other looked like an adult portion. The chef never should have let them come out of the kitchen looking like that, especially being served to the same table"
