Keene Student Rentals

"Bri was very kind at first correspondence was great until May 2020. I spoke with Bri at length she explained that the house we rented would be under new management on June 1st an email would go out with instructions for rent pmt and correspondence. She allowed my daughter to move in with her partner and their 5 month old baby 2 days early. A walk through was to be done Bri cancelled, she wanted to spend Memorial day with her family asked about a re-schedule no response. Moved in on 5/30/2020 to the worst filth I have ever seen including a dead bird in the bathroom window, ant infestation enough dirt to fill a sandbox no trash barrels old bike left in the apartment leaking kitchen sink active bees nest a non working boiler system and multiple other issues. Bri was contacted immediately less than friendly sent plumber over who stated there was hot water left stating our issues were not immediate. We let the water run no hot water or heat, Bri called again plumber never showed up until Monday morning. Multiple hours of cleaning done by myself and other family members to get this house cleaned. The new management company was contacted on June 1st they have been great and less than pleased with how Bri left this apartment. Today June 3rd the bird has been removed but surprise there were 2 birds frozen together, health department was called on Bri. I would be very cautious renting from this company she gets 2 stars only she obviously does not care about the students or their living conditions. I think she needs to put her children in the shoes of our children and think about what she has done to these young adults. A horrible situation that is slowly being rectified by Unicorn management they have plenty of places to rent I would highly recommend every one contact this company instead."

"I would definitely recommend renting from KSR. Bri was wonderful as a landlord. She truly cared about the well being of my daughter. She was quick to handle any situation that we brought to her attention regarding any problems with my daughter's apartment. Bri was extremely fair and kindhearted with us in every aspect. Wonderful experience!"

"These were the first people who made me feel like I belonged in Keene. An amazing little family run operation with startlingly quick emergency response time to any sort of issue. I am extremely surprised to see these other parents making such complaints. It seems KSR holds students more accountable for their actions as adults than their parents sometimes do. KSR has done nothing but give me more than they should have. and they even took less from my deposit than they should have. They are strong communicators, and mean well. I would not have been able to make it out on my own in Keene without these people."

"I can not even express how grateful I am to Bri and her staff for the incredible living experience my daughter had when renting from them. Every concern was address immediately and with thoughtfulness. When my daughter had issues with her roommates, Bri quickly responded and provided us with alternate solutions, I am beyond grateful to her. Every Apartment was clean and well taken care of, and Bri and her staff was certainly generous with what was included in the rent and many repairs that they never charged for that other landlords absolutely would have. Most of all i want to recommend Keene Student Rentals for any prospective students, their parents and current students. You will not be disappointed if you choose Bri as your landlord."

"What we have been through over the last few years with our college student is almost unimaginable. It's been the worst experience parents can have when leaving their child at college in off-campus housing. Our child convinced us time was of the essence, had to book extremely early to secure housing. The student group committed and we followed with payment only to find on move-in day a complete disgusting mess. Every common area was filthy and obviously had not been vacuumed or cleaned for an incredibly long time. It was filthy and continued to be for as long as our student lived there, called, complained, got nowhere. THEN, the landlord took away their dumpster. They had no place to put their trash except on the ground, horrible, they had plumbing problems, with no working toilet for days with no help, But worst of all IN THAT LOCATION, which was supposed to be student only, what my student felt were heroin addicts on and getting into the property on a daily basis and my child was scared to death. My student child told me that only to feel safe, it was needed to sleep with a knife under pillow. Things only got worse bc they all felt they had to secure property early for the following year in order to have a place and stayed with Keene Student Rental, they moved, but with the new property things just got worse. So many things, but the worst of the worst, on move in day the refrigerator was FILLED WITH THOUSANDS OF BUG LARVEA!!! It was the worst most disgusting thing you can imagine. I can't even begin to describe the situation or the stench. The landlord refused to give them a new fridge for days and days, literally until put on notice. Do not rent from Keene Student Rentals. They are not affiliated with Keene State and they are not recommended by Keene State. Go to the college website and find off site property that is recommended by the college and that pass inspection by the college. Learn from our mistakes. In my opinion, this is a predator, renting to young people who don't fully understand their tenant/landlord rights and they are taking full advantage of that when parents paying the bill are at a distance. Shame on Kenne Student Rentals. There is a reason the college does not recommend you."
