"I would highly recommend staying away from this hotel. I stayed here for a weekend during a wedding, and it was a massive mistake. Just save yourself the pain and stay at any of the many other hotel options in town. The staff were rude and mean, and did not put the customer first. The hotel room also smelled moldy and had peeling wall paper."

"Love the Staff friendly front desk people housekeeping very nice as well and friendly. Loved my room quite and comfortable bed. Stop and Shop nextdoor less than a 2min walk. Restaurants walking distance as well as Dairy Queen across the street. Thank you Edgar Hotel stuff for being Welcoming."

"Read mostly negative reviews and before I decided to come here, I read the negative reviews thoroughly as most of it was BS. Tucked in outside of Edgartown, this hotel was perfect. Pro: - Close to supermarket, restaurants and stores, within walking distance, especially Dairy Queen. - Bike path is close by along with a bike shop for repairs. - Huge private parking lot. - Room was clean and spacious. Typical of a standard hotel. - Rate was great during April. Overpriced during peak season. But, that's everywhere during that period. - Friendly and helpful staff. - Will definitely return during off-peak season. Cons: - HVAC didn't work as the AC wasn't turned on due to the season. Got stuffy and the windows were broken. Had to prop it with a rolled up towel and since we were on the first floor, we didn't leave it open when we were gone or at night. The blower did work on cool fan mode. - No amenities such as breakfast or gym. The restaurant that's attached is super expensive. Highly recommended. Do read some of the negative reviews here. But, most of it is garbage."

"I had an amazing night of sleep here. Tips for having a great stay would definitely be sleeping on the second floor if it’s available and with the fan on to block out any noise. There’s a bar in the hotel which was actually delicious! The fish n’ chips and the sushi rolls were legit. The drinks were very strong FYI but they served me in this awesome glass. The only reason I gave it a 4/5 is because I did get sick later and I feel like part of it was the drink they made me was just soooo strong, otherwise no complaints."

"Had an overnight stay here. The hotel is situated in a convenient location, with a Stop-and-Shop literally across from the entrance, and within walking distance from the harbor. The interior is well-decorated, clean, and modern. Unfortunately, our air conditioning system was broken during our stay and only blew out hot air. At one point, our room was at 87°F. There were no other open rooms, and we were forced to sleep with the windows open during a rainy night, and unfortunately the windows were broken too. They would only stay open for a few minutes at a time before slamming shut loudly, frightening us throughout the night and disturbing our sleep. The room also comes with a mini-fridge, although the fridge is low power and barely stays cool. Some of the food we had brought with us perished overnight. Our neighbors across the hall also had issues with their AC system, and told us they had problems with the noise from the bar downstairs bleeding into their room late into the night. It was only a one-night stay, but it wasn't a comfortable one, and the management was unable to help us with any of the problems we encountered, dismissing them. I'd recommend looking elsewhere for a more consistent and comfortable experience."
