"Comfortable bed, beautiful grounds, friendly staff and guests, nice layout to the unit, secure facility, about 300 acres to explore, heated pool and hot tubs, close to so many historic sights and nature trails, shopping and dining options too. I should be keeping this to myself but with the multigenerational families that have been enjoying this place for years, the secret is out. However with the number of units, they can handle the demand. We visited for one night on our way to Virginia Beach and I am so glad that we did. We were going to be returning home up the east coast shoreline after dealing with the 81, 95 Washington traffic. We changed our plans and after I finish this review, I am going to book two or three more nights to explore the property and more of Jamestown. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the great front reception desk assistance I received on arriving, check out, and one other time with questions professionally answered. Every time I interacted with the front desk Laura was the one who helped me out. There were multiple qualified staff members there on checking in, we got lucky. This Hilton property is fortunate to have this dedicated employee on staff. Bravo Laura!"
"Wow! Just wow! Absolutely perfect in every way! We stayed there recently for New Year’s. We had reserved a 3-story, 3-bedroom townhouse, for 2 families and absolutely LOVED our stay! The house had everything you need to make a comfortable home away from home. The kitchen had a stove, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher. We brought food with us and saved a TON of money by eating in and enjoying family time. We brought our own holiday decorations and decorated the family room with tinsel trees and nutcrackers. The patio is such a perfect extension to the house. Loved it! All three rooms are located on a separate level. Very well thought out! We had one family with small kids stay on the first level, with its own walk-in bathroom and closet. My husband and I stayed on the second level, with a separate walk in bathroom and closet as well. Additionally, there was a pull-out couch outside our bedroom. Our teen son stayed on the third level, with his own TV there. That room is perfect for teens! The grounds are absolutely stunning! There is a cafe on the grounds, a pool with two hot tubs, and even a playground! The office had cookies for the guests checking in. And everything was absolutely stunningly decorated for the holidays! I left a charger in the bedroom and contacted the hotel to claim it. The security manager was very quick to respond and sent me the link to submit a “lost item” form. He had located it in the bedroom and will be shipping it back to me. Overall, we had a blast! It’s about a 20-minute ride to Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg. The price is so reasonable for such amazing accommodations! The only disappointment is that it’s not dog friendly."
"We've been coming down to Virginia for the past few years. Our first stay here was last year it was the best place we've stayed! As soon as we left we booked it again for this year. Comfortable bed, great floor plan perfect for a toddler that loves to run around. The food at the Cafe was really good there's a restaurant on site unfortunately we didn't get to eat there since we had other plans. One of the employees told my husband there was a little store there where you could purchase certain items but it closed due to covid I'm hoping they open that back up soon! There's a little look out spot at one of the ponds and you can feed the turtles!!!! I highly recommend staying here. I can't wait to go back this spring!"
"I am a Diamond Hilton member and have stayed at Hilton for years stateside and abroad. This location is nice but lacks the quality one would expect. First, at check-in, the receptionist was somber and passive, and with no appreciation for choosing this location or being a diamond, she couldn't care less. All they seem to care about is getting you to the gift desk to set you up for club vacation purchases. I was only there to stay locally to secure our diamond status for 2024. We had booked this property and Embassy Suites, Williamsburg, and had never stayed at either. We were certain The Historic Powhatan Williamsburg would be our choice for the night considering it is a suite with bedrooms, a nook, and a full kitchen. We visited the suite, it smelled, was in need of an upgrade, and was somewhat creepy. We ended up staying at Embassy Suites up the road which was a much better experience. No wonder they (Historic Powhatan) are giving away the rooms at super discount prices, customer service and room maintenance are in poor shape. This is one of Hilton's worse properties we have stayed from a customer service, property maintenance, and overall climate. We knew things were a little off when we drove through the gate and the guard did not even stand up or look up from her phone. We were impressed with Embassy Suites, Williamsburg, and will review them accordingly. v/r, Dr. K. King"
"Overall a nice property and a good two bedroom condo. They’re undergoing some renovations, but still charge the full resort fee even though somethings were not available. I don’t think that’s fair. Also, for two nights we spent almost $500 but they expected us to take out the tiny bit of trash, put it in the car and drive it to a dumpster. Regardless of price I think that should not be requested of a guest unless there is a lot of trash for a longer stay. Also, take note they do not have smart TVs so I would bring your own fire stick if you want to watch more things in the room. Overall, it’s a great location nearby everything and tons of beautiful fountains and geese. Coffee shop was good. I would stay again."
