"Pros: Customer service vastly improved over the last few years. Great texting system between guests and front desk. Seamless reservation system. Grounds, as always, lovely. Elements serves breakfast till 11am, great for sleeping in. The Mill very convenient, although limited hours. Location can't be beat! Cons: Rooms/ condos need updating. Looks like a 90's remodel that has not held up well. Would serve KM well to lean into colonial design/ traditional design. Dark chocolate sofa with teal wing chairs are ick. Heated bathroom floors would go a long way. Quick mention- the kitchen was a little dusty upon my arrival. I texted front desk to let them know, and they immediately sent housekeeping. While there are some details missed, KM is quick to address and rectify. Overall, will definitely visit again... and again... and again. My parents started visiting KM in the 80s, so I have warm feelings of the resort. My previous visit (in 2021) left me disappointed, but when I think of W'burg, I always think of KM as homebase. So I gave it another chance, and glad I did. The common spaces are getting a facelift, so I look forward to seeing that on next visit."

"We did our annual leadership retreat here. We coordinated with the KM team before the event. The food was amazing. The service was amazing and the rooms were great. I love the character of the golf shoe spike indents in the hardwood. The view of the James River was great even though it rained. Highly recommend this venue which includes gated entry to add security."

"First impressions can make or break an experience. My husband and I visited for the first time for a weekend getaway for Veteran’s day. When we arrived for check-in, we were not greeted at the front desk. How much effort does it take to say good afternoon, how can I help you? We felt very unwelcome. The condo that we stayed in was quite spacious and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was fully stocked for the weekend which was appreciated. However, the shower could use a deep cleaning to get rid of mole that was present. We did get a quick bite at Eagles. The bartender was friendly and attentive. Checking out was easy but, yet again, front desk staff could use additional customer service training. Overall, nice resort but probably will not return."

"Overall not a bad place. However the rooms are dated to some degree but fully stocked with everyday items. Views of the river were great. While sitting at the James landing for dinner you can't go wrong there. I will say the breakfast buffet is good food but well over priced for what you get, as with the condos overpriced as well. I do believe for the age of the condos the price should be no more than 175.00 per night. I will also say all guests should be informed that this place is a gated community which atleast keeps the folks here safer.
