"The location is the only thing this place has going for it. Everything is unmaintained and unclean room stank. There are very few outlets to plug anything in and the ones they have are in odd places in the room. They don't even have a night light/lamp so if you want light to read etc you have to keep the large overhead light on( there was a standing lamp but the button was broke so you had to keep your finger on it so aka. It was broke.)Refrigerator froze everything, didn't use the microwave, it was dirty. Went to check out, no one at the desk, door locked. Left room key in the room. Will never stay here again"
"Room stank as soon as you opened the door , shower was disgusting , refrigerator made noise all the time , lamp in room did not work would not stay on unless you held the button. Beds and pillows SUCKED. Would never stay there again."
"I stayed 3 nights here. On the third night I paid cash. They took my cash AND charged my debit card. Then proceeded to tell me that what they have is correct. After fighting with them, I called my bank and had the charge disputed. They will gladly take your money any way they can. Spend the extra money and go somewhere better"
"Daughter has a mild case of COVID and the manager said it was my call on whether to bring her. But I was getting charged either way. Makes you wonder how many others have stayed there with infectious diseases since the hotel staff doesn't seem bothered. Definitely do not bring anyone who is immunocompromised to this place. The manager is not even remotely concerned for them. Considering the other reviews mention the place being filthy with ancient carpet and worthless mattresses, do you think they can be trusted to sanitize rooms after parents bring their sick children since it was "their call" on whether or not COVID was a problem? Yeah, no thanks."
"I know you get what you pay for, but this is a little ridiculous. You can tell whoever owns this place does not care in any way whatsoever what people's experience staying there is like. You gotta put a little back into your business. It's a great location, convenient to everything in the inlet, but the motel is truly a dump. The carpets have gotta be 40+ years old and I doubt they've EVER been cleaned. The mattresses are just springs, no cushion at all. The rooms themselves aren't safe, the door lock is just a button push lock like you might have in a bathroom so anyone could easily jimmy the lock and break in. There was a chain for the door, but nothing to latch it to. Don't even think about using the pool... first of all it's only like 6ft x 8ft big.. but it doesn't get cleaned, so the water is disgusting. If you're just looking to be near the boardwalk and have a place to pass out after partying, then I guess you could stay here, but other than that, I would really advise against it."
