Holiday Inn Express & Suites West Ocean City, an IHG Hotel

"Love Holiday Inn Express, but this location is extremely sub par. Apparently, hotel is VERY pet friendly. Booked directly with hotel and no mention of this at reservation. Seems like every other room had an animal of various sizes. When asked, apparently there are not even pet specific rooms. Room carpet was torn up, obviously from an animal. In our group, we had 3 rooms (among 3 other parties) - all rooms smelled of animals. High top / bar height chairs in the breakfast area were disgusting. ALL were completely falling apart - many seats even held together with packing tape. Upon departure we were stopped at our car as apparently the location “lost our credit card information”, even though we digitally checked in. Had to go back into the facility and have our card swiped again at the request of the manager. While the highlight of the stay was a slightly early check in and slightly later departure; They also had quality breakfast and a very comfortable bed. The rest of the experience would have us avoid this location at all cost in the future."

"Checking in was a nightmare. The person at the desk had no idea what she was doing. It took what seemed like 30 minutes. In reference to The breakfast area…needs new chairs. They are disgusting. The tv is about to fall off the wall and needs replaced because the picture is awful. The breakfast food was satisfactory."

"We stayed here while the floors were being replaced in our home. From the time we checked in until check out four days later, everything was great! The suite was very clean. The breakfast options were very good. The staff was very friendly. We will definitely stay here again. I highly recommend this hotel."

"Very pleased with this hotel, will be my go to when coming to OCMD! a 5 min ride to the boardwalk/beach you could ever walk, there is sidewalks all the way down. Our parking was free not sure if that’s only because we came on a weekday but that was awesome. I am clean freak and our room met my standards! Clean white bedding (checked thoroughly) & bathrooms very clean! They have Dove brand shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and body lotion already in the hotel and they are full sized. breakfast was great, a lot of options and the pool was nice for the kids. 5 stars for sure! 8/7/23"
