"I scheduled a one-off session with Dr Philipson a couple of years back after experiencing severe intrusive thoughts. I worked with Dr Melissa Jermann this year. Prior to therapy, I experienced a lot of learned helplessness ritualising day in and day out to no avail for many years. I worked with many therapists who weren't specialised in treating pure O OCD and symptoms gradually became a lot worse affecting my career and social relationships with comorbid depression. I never thought I would get better and that my presentation was 'unique' or not respond to treatment. I am currently in remission and have had no residual symptoms for months. Melissa provided a safe therapeutic environment and forged an excellent therapeutic alliance. She is non judgmental and uses finesse without any disparaging or hurtful feedback.
