Reviews
"Dr. Mulay is very detailed and his bedside manor is the best I have seen in such a long time. He has been so thorough with my mother’s treatment and has clearly explained everything along the way. We are so grateful for the care Dr. Mulay has provided to treat her multiple myeloma."
"I was referred to Dr. Mulay by Dr. Hoffman. I rapidly began to create a good rapport with Dr.Mulay and his team, adhering to all appointments, surgeries and recommended treatments. Unfortunately Dr. Mulay and his team had exhausted all options in treating my Lymphoma and reached out to Dr. Fisher at Dana-Farber, where I began medical research for (CAR) T-cell therapy. Prior and after the (CAR) T-cell therapy Dr. Fisher e-mailed Dr. Mulay and asked him to arrange for two referrals for me: 1)Thyroid Calcium Deposit 2) Dermatology Concerns; All recommendations were ignored, as Dr. Mulay never provided a referral. I had to get these referrals from my primary care physician. After the (CAR) T-cell therapy I continued to visit the Smilow Cancer Center on a consistent basis for lab draws & Dr.visits. (One cancellation to Dr. Mulay’s office due to conflicting appointments with Dana-Farber). Dr.Fisher and Dr.Ho have decided to move forward with a bone marrow transplant and a pain management plan. Dr. Mulay attempted to call me last week. As he was unable to reach me, he contacted my wife to tell her about an additional treatment he wanted administer the same week. He told my wife he would have his office call me. I returned the call the following day. I was not aware of the treatment Dr. Mulay was attempting to administer, as I have been more concerned with the pain and medications to alleviate the pain. When I spoke to Dr. Mulay's secretary, Dr. Mulay did not want to speak with me. I explained to her that I had an adverse reaction to a similar treatment and I wanted to speak to Dr. Fisher about this new treatment and also visit with him about my pain medication. Dr. Mulay assumed that I was questioning his decision about the treatment. This was absolutely not the case. After making contact with Dr. Mulays’ secretary several times to schedule an appointment, I was given an ultimatum to come in and sign the paperwork for treatment on the same day or they would drop me as a patient.. When Dr.Mulays’ conditions were not met, I was labeled a patient with “trust issues” (No disrespect, I was communicating with a secretary and not a health professional to address my concerns or out-line Dr.Mulays’ mysterious serum. Dr. Mulay didn't want to speak with me. The ultimatum rapidly turned into an erupting volcano of lies and shenanigans at the Smilow Cancer Center at St. Francis Hospital. Dr.Mulay became unprofessional by denying me to contact my oncologist at Dana-Farber and demanded I sign the treatment papers under stress, duress and chronic pain. I was more under the impression Dr. Mulay was becoming a salesman rather than a concerned physician. Under no circumstances was I ever rude or unprofessional to Dr. Mulay or his staff.(Phone calls are made for training purposes, please preserve my recordings for quality and future evidence). By not collaborating accordingly with myself & Dana-Farber Dr. Mulay became unprofessional and somewhat immature in the process of administering a so-called proper vital treatment. Making false accusations, allegations and refusing to supply me with further treatment is unethical, childish and irresponsible. I refuse to be controlled, manipulated or berated for adhering to my rights whether I seek a second opinion or not. The last sales pitch by Dr.Mulay and his secretary has been stressful, discombobulating, appalling and a disgrace to our medical community, a reflection of a crumbling management team at St. Francis. It's crystal clear and obvious Dr. Mulay does not believe in a collaborative team approach to better serve the patient. I strongly believe Sudhanshu Mulay is a liability to the medical profession by generating fear, uncertainty and doubt."
