Dr. Danielle E. Luciano 1115 West Street, Southington, CT 06489

"I recently learned of her partnership of UCONN with JAX Laboratories via the house bill passage of House Bill 6672, "An Act Concerning Endometriosis", unfortunately I had a less than experience with Dr Danielle Luciano in the OBYN as a patient. Her father also a doctor at UCONN who is considered a "specialist" in endometriosis whom still advocates getting pregnant as a cure for endometriosis. My experience with Dr. Luciano was very limited and grossly unrespectful. I was told by her at my first appointment to get nexplanon, which try as I might I was referred to a doctor by Dr Luciano to have it inserted into my arm. Unfortunately the doctor who was going to insert nexplanon into my arm told me he cannot insert it because I also have PCOS with string of pearl cysts, which rupture often. When I went back to Dr. Danielle Luciano for a follow up and relayed her the information I was given she told me she would be right back. She didn't come right back. I waited fourty five minutes in my room before going to the front desk and asking where she went. The secretary told me that Dr. Luciano went home. I had been sitting there in a room while she went home and left me there. The secretary did not know what to tell me, did not schedule a follow up or even ask. I just stood there and they told me that I should probably go home and they will call me. They never followed up, and they never called me again. When I called them, they feigned not knowing who I am. I just want people to know this about UCONN and this Dr. I now live with stage four endometriosis and live with constant pain, still not being helped. People still don't accept my pain and I am one of those people in the statistics who was also told that, "the pain is in my head." UCONN doesn't care about your disease. They will perscribe you birth control as a bandaid, or gNRH's. They will only help you when you want to have a baby."
