"I was overwhelmed the first time, but after leaving with a cart completely full of great finds for less than $50. It was completely worth it, plus you find the most random thing."
"the bins are full of messy dirty cloths horrible staff members i see reviews to this place and yet nothing has changed there a little kids in here and there boxes of knifes and some on the floor of course i picked it up the staff members are incredibly rude and they treat the customers like garbage. customers have to wait for the staff to get items from the bins. this place is terrible the staff dont really care about there job there just trynna get a buck. this one lady said she was gonna kick me out because i touched the items in the bin without their permission even tho all the bins were together. i told her that i understand i wont touch the bins and she with this other employee just yelling at me causing a sence while im trying to calm the situation down. to be honest there life most be really boring to start yelling at me for touching the bin and all i really did was move a godzilla toy to see what was under it nothing. but the customer are amazing they we’re giving me stuff that i found useful and they were telling the employees are always rude for no reason. if the owners see this dont just write that im sorry for your experience actually do something go to your building and fire the bad employees make rules for it to be less dangerous cause there knifes on the floor while kids are there this is not a safe place to shop with your kids this is not a safe place to shop at all and this is my experience"
"My husband & I went to the Goodwill Outlet Store in Hamden on Oct 14th 2023 for the first time. We drove over an hour to get there. Wow!! What a HUGE MISTAKE!! It was NOTHING like we expected. Basically just a bunch of very unorganized junk in long bins. The customers & the employees were extremely rude. I was in shock at the way the two young men working the cash registers were acting. They had music blasting out of their phones, fooling around, were very disrespectful. That place is a total joke. We will never...& I mean NEVER return back there again."
"Every day is a new day at this place. You never know what you will find. Some days you have to walk out with nothing, other days it's like a jackpot day where you find exactly what you are looking for at the perfect price. If its too crowded, I just leave and go back at a different time or after they change the bins. If you don't like digging in the bins, this place is not for you because it is all tossed in a bin and the deals are buried. It can be overwhelming when there's a lot of people at the bins. The prices are based on the item weight unless its a larger item like a bicycle, furniture or, the big plastic little tykes style toys. I got a pink cozy coupe at this visit and it put a smile on my niece's face. It was a great deal at 90% off retail and it had almost no signs of wear on it but honestly, the happiness it's going to bring to a kid is priceless :) I'd like to thank everyone who donates items here because, your donations are preventing the still usable items from going into a landfill and, its creating jobs/income for many. Its a good place to support even if the bin digging isn't your thing."
"Found some great deals (Eddie Bauer shirts, North Face jackets, etc...., that were in great condition) . We didn't know the rules. I wanted to take a pic to show friends what it looked like, my first time in a Goodwill Outlet. One of the employees thought I was video taping (but I wasn't), and wasn't happy with me. And, you're not supposed to touch the bins before they say you can, after they wheel them out. All in all, still great deals though & will be back."
