"Our custom kitchen cabinets are cherry wood, less than 12 years old, and generally in very good condition. Recently my wife inadvertently smeared some dark hair dye in 2 conspicuous areas: one on the tilt-drawer in front of the sink, and the other on the large pull-out trash bin cabinet. I tried to remove the dye following a suggestion I found on the internet, but only managed to rub off the cherry finish on the drawer, making it even worse. At that point we thought we might need to refinish the entire kitchen! A friend recommended we contact Northeast Kitchens, and Teresa and Peter arrived very quickly to assess the damage. Though it wasn't their typical re-facing project, they felt it was worth attempting to repair the 2 damaged cabinets. They soon returned, removed both pieces, and brought them to their shop. They stripped and refinished the cabinets, matching them as best they could to the original finish. Once the cabinets were replaced, both my wife and I were very satisfied and relieved with the results! They completed the project in a timely fashion, their pricing was quite reasonable, and they saved us a potentially huge expense. Plus, they are really nice people.
