"Don‘t spend any money in Mount Sinai. I received the good faith estimate said my out of pocket for coming ultrasound exam is around 120 total. After the service, they sent a $800+ bill to me and refused any negotiation. THE LIER DESERVE ZERO STAR."
"I am from out of town, was scared to go to the emergency room because emergency rooms are terrifying but I am so grateful for the team there for making my trip to the ER as good as it can get. From the security team, to the ladies that take vitals, Dr Janvi Nandi, and another wonderful personnel named Holly I believe. The level of attention and care they gave me was unparalleled. Very thorough and I did not feel like they were rushing to get me out. They truly wanted to help me. Of course there were some crazy things happening in the ER simultaneously but they all handled it so well. Thank you all"
"Office administration here is terrible. Some doctors have a 15-min grace period, after which time doctors won't see patients. Staff never told me about this when I scheduled the appointments. I had a phone/video appointment and assumed they would send me a link. No- apparently I was supposed to go into the app to access the appointment. Office staff didn't tell me ahead of time. Once I figured out to check the app, there was additional set up steps for the video appointment screen, which meant I went past the 15 mark by a few minutes to get to the video screen. The video screen then displayed a waiting room and told me to wait for the doctor. I waited for over an hour because the prompt said the doctor will join soon. It turns out the doctor canceled my appointment because I joined the video screen after the 15-minute mark. No message was sent to me through the app, waiting room, or by text to let me know the appointment had been canceled, and the app just told me to keep waiting. This place gives the impression that they don't care about the patients' access to care at all. They're just looking to bill as much as possible."
"They did the death protocol and killed my grandma here. Just when she was feeling a lot better, she wanted to leave the hospital, they injected her with strong sleeping medicine (rule #1 : you’re never supposed to give elderly people strong sleeping meds) and she never woke up. If you have an elderly person DO NOT bring them here, they get paid for doing the death protocol on elderly people."
"The staff is wonderful but the hospital is filthy. The bathrooms and the waiting areas of the surgical unit are in appalling condition with debris and general filth all over the floors. I anticipated that a surgical unit with vulnerable patients would have much higher standards of cleanliness. What’s even more concerning is that my loved one’s surgery was pushed back a week due to hospital cleaning, and it is already (or still?) in this shape."
