"I'm not normally a review critic but this one is necessary. We wish we read reviews before signing a lease with these people. Speaking from experience, I highly advise avoiding this family's company at all costs. My partner and I were in the process of lease-end move out and it was nothing short of miserable. Antionette should be ashamed of herself for the way she "speaks" to tenants. Not only have we been screamed at, but we've witnessed other tenants be screamed at. She is a bully with a god-complex. The day we moved out, we shared a laugh with another tenant moving out in the elevator who had a similarly awful experience but rest assured there was nothing comical about it in the thick of it. Anyone who goes through the entire process with JFA - including moving out - will report the same thing. All the positive reviews you see are because they just moved in. We would write a positive review for that experience as well. They have a very kind woman show the unit, go through the paperwork with you and then once you're locked in via lease, you deal with the real voice of the company. We lived in one of their properties in Branford, kept it very clean, paid rent on time, never made a peep unless there was a maintenance issue (which was taken care of - only reason they get 1 star), and they still treated us like absolute bottom of the barrel GARBAGE. They nickel and dime at the final walk-through with a nasty, nasty attitude and took every last second to return the security deposit back to us. Of about 10 awful stories I can share, the last one represents her pretty well. We were trying to schedule the final walk-through with Antoinette and for no reason and completely unprovoked, she raised her voice at my partner saying we need to accommodate the date that works for her because she "doesn't work when she has plans". She had zero regard for our schedules or availability (and we're not limited by any means). Not to mention, anytime Antoinette showed up to the building, you knew it because she would spend 20 minutes outside screaming on her phone. The unprofessionalism is simply off the charts. I was 6 months pregnant while moving out and the stress levels experienced from that woman and move-out process were not okay. It's to the point where you almost consider having a lawyer to have conversations on your behalf to avoid the chaos and stress. We are very aware that working in property management can be challenging and you must have thick skin but you would imagine that the GOOD tenants would be treated with some sort of decency and respect for making their lives easier. This is not the case with JFA."

"*AVOID JFA AT ALL COSTS!* If I could put a zero star, I would. I had an incredibly unpleasant living experience with JFA Management. Their staff, particularly Antoinette, was consistently unprofessional, dismissive, argumentative, and rude. The overall property management was abysmal, and the company showed a complete lack of concern for both their properties and most importantly their tenants. It was disheartening to discover that multiple residents in the building shared the same negative encounters with Antoinette, highlighting a systemic issue within the company. I would strongly advise against renting from JFA Management"

"I have had a wonderful experience with JFA. The apartment and complex are beautiful, clean, and sophisticated- and the amenities are exceptional. JFA, along with their maintenance staff, are helpful and quick to attend to any problems that arise. Highly recommend if you are looking to rent!"

"Absolutely horrible experience with the leasing manager. We asked questions about the fees associated with the apartment and she took it as a personal attack. She threatened to have us removed and offered our money back. Total power trip. They contacted us later and wanted us to start the lease on time. Luckily we just accepted the money back and moved on. They are scam artists. Don't trust them."

"I lived at Summit Place in Branford and had a wonderful experience. Move in was very easy and the owner was very accommodating with questions etc via text message. In addition, she was helpful with finding furniture I needed at the time. During move out I had the same experience. I had to end the lease early and had no problems. She even was able to help me sell furniture I had! Overall great experience with JFA management and would have loved to stay longer if I could’ve."
