"The apartment units are nice but building maintenance needs a lot of work. The pool was always dirty during the summer time. There was always an excuse about the maintenance. They closed the fire pits early into the fall season without notice or feedback from the residents. The gym needs better equipment. Resident events are always “food trucks.” No opportunity for residents to meet and mingle. Rent price is too high for what we are getting. Also, some residents are somewhat suspicious. The cops are frequently on premises for different issues."
"I've lived here for almost 6 months, and I enjoy the amenities and covered parking. Location is convenient to shopping and Westport. Ashley and the maintenance team are amazing."
"Living at the beacon has been a very pleasant experience. When I moved here from out of state, I looked at many complexes. None of the staff was very nice, but the moment I walked into the beacon and talked to Ashley, I knew this was going to be home. Ashley gave us a tour and showed us available apartments same day with such an amazing attitude. Ashley, Jackie and Dakota have been so accommodating and nice with any questions or issues that have occurred. They have many amenities that make this location well worth the price (pool, rooftop, game area, gym, doggy spa, trash rooms, expresso machines, weekly events to get the neighbors together) Side note: I see a few reviews here of people being unhappy with the service, but see those same folks treating the employees with disrespect, which in my opinion, discredits their review. Come in with kindness and see for yourself what a great place the beacon is!"
"Great Apartments, always clean and they take care of any maintenance issues immediately! The maintenance personnel as well as the Office personnel are very very nice and interested as to any issues we have . The buildings as well as the Amenities are great ! there is Pool for warmer weather and in the main rooms with Pool table ,computer room shuffleboard etc. as well as cozy couches with the fireplaces in the main lobby. There is a coffee bar to relax in and roof top grills and fire pits ! Perfect for younger/ professionals just starting out.The location is great near whole foods CVS and restaurants ."
"I couldn't be happier living at The Beacon! I moved here from South Norwalk where I had a balcony with a view of the water, and was in walking distance to great restaurants, shops and nightlife. But, at The Beacon, I'm closer to Westport with even better restaurants and shops, a Whole Foods, plus a parking garage with direct access to my floor, a balcony PLUS a giant roof top deck, and I can't wait for the huge pool and patio to open. My favorite part of living here is the extremely warm and inviting main lobby with its cozy, fun and modern design and includes a pool table, retro video games, comfy couches, party areas for entertaining and a whole separate area with workspaces, high speed internet and private conference rooms for the work from home types like me who want to step outside of their apartments. The gym looks great (just haven’t made time for myself yet, I usually like to run outside) and it includes a separate work out/dance studio, and locker rooms. And the best part of all, everything is completely brand new and SO clean. It's unfortunate that even one person would have a complaint with living here, or with management. I would try to make it right because this is a great place to live. My former property manager in South Norwalk was a vicious, vindictive woman who tried to scare people. For example, she said the way I organized snacks in my kitchen for my children looked "cluttered" on my counter, saying it was "in violation of my lease." Compared to that woman, any other property manager would be Mother Theresa! A home should give you a full sense of security and peace, and I’ve found it here at The Beacon thanks to how beautiful the building is, how well they take care of it, how lovely the neighbors are, and how great the management is. Also, they provide us with this VERY useful app so we can communicate with our neighbors for quick questions, tips and resources i.e. babysitters, selling furniture, pet sitting, package questions, etc. Remember, this is a new building, and there are still going to be things to figure out. But that’s what I love about it! When the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night during the holidays, when management was on their holiday break, they still showed up to greet the firetrucks and stood outside in the cold along with the rest of us apologizing for the inconvenience that was caused due to a burst pipe (not smoke). That is community, that is The Beacon. Sarah"
