Beachlands Maraetai Playcentre

Welcome to Beachlands Maraetai Playcentre, a relaxed and welcoming institution located in the beautiful coastal town of Beachlands, New Zealand. Our playcentre is situated at 18 Bell Road, within the grounds of Beachlands School.

At Beachlands Maraetai Playcentre, we are proud to be a supportive community of families. With approximately 22 families and 37 children as current members, we strive to provide quality sessions for our children and create a nurturing environment for our parents.

Our purpose-built premises offer a wide range of resources and a spacious and attractive outdoor environment. Within our playcentre, two supervisors lead the children in outdoor activities. Our main base is Omana Regional Park, where the children embark on exciting new adventures every week, tailored to their interests. Occasionally, we also explore other locations in the community, allowing our children to interact with the environment and locals along the way. With a small group size of a maximum of 8 children, we foster the development of friendships and group cohesion.

Family sessions at Beachlands Maraetai Playcentre are open to all enrolled members and visitors. Parents actively participate in running the sessions and planning activities that cater to the interests and educational needs of the children.
