Welcome to Mason Avenue Kindergarten, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Pukekohe, New Zealand. Located on Mason Avenue, our quality establishment is a well-resourced kindergarten that offers a large learning environment for children.

In 2021, Mason Avenue Kindergarten achieved the prestigious status of Green-Gold Enviroschool, highlighting our commitment to sustainability and environmental consciousness. As a not-for-profit institution, we have a dedicated team of four qualified teachers, an admin assistant, and a teacher aide.

At Mason Avenue, we believe in fostering a learning environment where children are encouraged to explore, question, investigate, and discover. Our kindergarten program provides a stimulating, inviting, and challenging atmosphere that promotes trust and independence in our young learners. We even provide tools such as hot glue guns to empower our children as capable and competent learners.

Sustainable practices are at the core of our values. We actively promote recycling, waste reduction, composting, worm farming, and water catchment through the use of water tanks. We strive to take care of our beautiful Papatūānuku (Earth Mother).

We strongly believe in the value of family and community involvement. We welcome and encourage parents, whānau (extended family), and the wider learning community to actively participate and contribute to our collaborative approach to teaching.

At Mason Avenue Kindergarten, we emphasize the importance of healthy eating and physical activity as part of a holistic approach to each child's learning and development.

We are proud to offer a unique Nature Discovery program, allowing our oldest children to spend the day immersing themselves in the natural environment of a local bush. This program perfectly aligns with our commitment to Enviroschools and our teaching philosophy.

The Enviroschools program supports children and young people in planning, designing, and implementing sustainability actions that are important to them and their communities. It provides a pathway from early childhood through primary, intermediate, and secondary school and beyond. Through collaboration and knowledge sharing, we are building a collective puna mātauranga (pool of knowledge).

Enviroschools is supported by a national team in partnership with nearly 100 national and regional partners, including the majority of New Zealand's councils. Together, we work towards progressing the sustainability journey.

Our kindergarten sessions run from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm, Monday to Friday, offering six hours of enriching educational experiences for your child.

Mason Avenue Kindergarten is proudly operated by the Counties Manukau Kindergarten Association, an organization dedicated to providing quality educational experiences and environments for children since 1952. We are 100% kiwi owned and operated and operate on a not-for-profit basis.
