Cockle Bay Private Kindergarten

Welcome to Cockle Bay Private Kindergarten, located on Cockle Bay Road in Auckland, New Zealand. As an establishment and point of interest in our community, we are dedicated to providing quality care and education to children, helping them flourish and grow into strong and competent members of our wider society.

Our kindergarten caters to children aged 2 to 5 years old, offering three session times to accommodate the needs of families. Whether it's the Morning session from 9am to 12pm, the Afternoon session from 12.30pm to 3.30pm, or the all-day session from 9am to 3.30pm, we ensure that our children receive the attention and care they deserve.

At Cockle Bay Private Kindergarten, our curriculum is based on the Early Childhood Education Curriculum Framework, incorporating the strands of Te Whāriki and our own kindergarten philosophy. We believe in documenting the development of children's learning, interests, and activities in their personalized portfolios, providing a comprehensive overview of their growth and progress.

We encourage children to engage in activities that interest them, fostering interaction with their peers and teachers. Our dedicated teachers establish sensitive and responsive relationships with the children, allowing them to flourish as confident learners. This approach equips our children with the skills and mindset to explore their own interests and ideas further.

We are currently undertaking exciting projects at our kindergarten, including the enhancement of our spacious outdoor area. The photos above showcase some of our ideas that we would like to develop, and we are in the process of gathering natural resources to create open-ended learning opportunities.
