Auckland Girls' Grammar School

Welcome to Auckland Girls' Grammar School, located at 16 Howe Street in Auckland, New Zealand. Our institution is a renowned establishment, known for its excellence in education and commitment to empowering young women.

At Auckland Girls' Grammar School, we offer a comprehensive curriculum that focuses on academic achievement, personal growth, and fostering a sense of community. Our dedicated and experienced staff are committed to providing a supportive learning environment where every student can thrive.

Term 2 of the academic year begins on Wednesday, 26th April, with various important dates throughout the term, including ANZAC Day on Tuesday, 25th April, Teacher Only Day on Friday, 5th May, and Mid-Term Break on Friday, 2nd June. We also celebrate King's Birthday on Monday, 5th June, and the term concludes on Friday, 30th June.

Term 3 starts on Monday, 17th July, and concludes on Friday, 22nd September. Term 4 begins on Monday, 9th October, with Labour Day on Monday, 23rd October. The final day of Term 4 is Thursday, 7th December.

In addition to our academic programs, we are proud to highlight the achievements of our alumni. Kendal Collins, an Old Girl of AGGS, was recently named a Member of the NZ Order of Merit for her outstanding work with Sisters United, a group she co-founded. Kendal, along with her sisters Parris Goebel and Narelle Ngaluafe, has made a significant impact in empowering young women through social work and mentoring programs.

We invite you to join us for our school open day, where our principal will give informative talks at 9:30 am and 6:30 pm. Student-led tours of the school will also be available. Parking is conveniently located at Gate 2, Howe Street, Freemans Bay. Prospective students for 2024 and their families are warmly welcomed to attend, including those interested in enrolling in our Maori Whanu Unit, Ngā Tūmunako o Kahurangi.

At Auckland Girls' Grammar School, we believe in celebrating the achievements and talents of our students. Our recent successes include impressive results at Polyfest 2023, where we secured wins on the Tongan, Niuean, and Cook Island stages, as well as a notable placing on the Diversity stage. We are immensely proud of all our students who participated in this cultural event.

Our AGGS Athletics Day was also a resounding success, held at Massey Park in Papakura. Each tutor class was assigned a maunga (mountain) and a color, creating a sense of camaraderie and competition. Congratulations to Maungawhau, the winning maunga, and to all the students who participated. We look forward to AGGS representing at the upcoming central-east-west athletics zones.
