Trentham Kindergarten

Welcome to Trentham Kindergarten, located at 19a Tawai Street in Upper Hutt, New Zealand. As an establishment and point of interest, we are dedicated to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment for children in our community.

At Trentham Kindergarten, we take pride in celebrating the cultural diversity of our community. We believe in the importance of honoring our bicultural heritage and promote this through our daily kori time. During this time, we focus on te reo through waiata (songs) and tikanga (customs and traditions).

Safety and inclusivity are at the forefront of our approach. We strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for children, while also supporting the development of healthy lifestyles. Our team achieves this through a combination of teaching about the environment, providing nutritious food, and encouraging physical activity.

Our dedicated team of five fully qualified and registered teachers are passionate about fostering children's interests, strengths, and passions. We believe that learning should be fun, and we provide a learning environment that reflects this philosophy.

We understand that every child is unique, and we value the input of parents and caregivers. Our teachers welcome the opportunity to engage in open communication with families to better understand each child's individual needs and experiences.

One of our pride and joys is our large outdoor environment. We are currently in the process of redeveloping this space to stimulate and challenge children. Our plans include creating new gardens and fruit trees, which will not only provide a learning opportunity but also contribute to the food needs of our community in the future.
