"We moved to Papakura in middle of 2022 (April). I have three children. Transitioning to different school from the ones they attended for long time can be tough for any kid. My eldest was 9, middle 7 and youngest 5. It was rocky at the start especially for my youngest. She was between teachers and classes. She very shy and I mean very. There were days she cries afraid to go school because one of her teacher. I spoke with the teacher and yes she’s very old fashioned, traditional in her ways and scares the children. It wasn’t just my daughter. Almost majority of the class were afraid of her. I forgot her name. This year she has one teacher that she got to know and she settles in much better. My boys manage to handle being the new kid well. Not so new anymore. I work along with the school as much as I can. I want my kids to see me around there, as assurance that I’m close by and involved wherever they may be. I love my kids. I do my best, working with the teachers. Bringing the best learning environment to my children. St Mary’s primary papakura. Is an amazing school. Teachers are attentive and the principal is a beautiful soul. PTFA hard working people fundraising for the children’s learning, resources and fun activities. My children are blessed. Thank you, truly."
"Rhis school sucks because of the princable"
"Great teachers, instills good values, just an all round great school."
"My son had a teacher called mrs Thomason. She was very rude she flipped the table and chucked a chair around the class she sent my son to the office because he laughed at her. The deputy principal sent him back to class because she thought that was so reason to sent someone to the office. She was a crazy teacher and she scribbled over the white board in angry while screaming. I am not happy to see my son come home upset. She banged on my sons table and yelled at him to do his work when he was already working. She was sexiest to boys. She only let the girls go out at lunch and boys stay in at lunch. It is against the law to not let kids eat at lunch time. Peace my dudes. This school is not recommended"
