"Best school in Auckland. Teachers nice, education is really good there, no litter around, good play ground. I was here in 2020 (my last year) been a while since I was here, missing teachers and students."
"Its come in my knowledge this school give their activity hall for Islamic studies to their muslim students......should not be happen in school all kids are same and they educate them same studies but still they want to continue this type of un-usefull activity then school should start all other religious studies........then school will treat equal to all students....Thank God my kid is not studying in this School......."
"I would give it one star review, but added another for two lovely teachers Ms King and Ms Patel, the only two years my son was not that scared to go to school, thank you to them my son felt encouraged and well supported. Otherwise, I think I wasted my son's future by putting him in this school. There was one particular teacher who picked on him and we requested school to not enroll him another year with the same teacher but unfortunately for my son it didnt happen. My son was given year 11 mathletics when he was just 7 year old and when unable to do he would cry and we requested school to investigate the matter, it was hushed. We were advised it was just wrong settings by the teacher, we wonder if deliberately to bring his morale down. We felt our child was not treated nicely and he did not learn anything here and he was excluded from many things that he could participate. But I feel that about public schools in general here, if you have money send them to private school or home school them as all public schools are waste of time and people running after high decile schools as well thinking they are any better think again, as I have experienced both and now after sending my son to private I can feel the world of difference, I wish I had made that decision sooner and not waste my son's precious learning years."
"I graduated this school in 2020 and this school is great, I don't know what it's like now but in my experience it was great. This school made me feel in such a warm, welcoming and comfortable environment! The teachers and students are very kind and I was so lucky to be surrounded by kind people who uplift me and make me happy. I had so much fun at this school and this school will be forever missed! However, I didn't really learn much at this school and the education isn't quite good and the way the teachers teach the children isn't very professional. But other than that, I really do like this school! :) would recommend sending your child here."
"I can't really say what the school is like now as it has been 7 years since I last attended it, but I can definitely say that I have good memories of this school. The teachers here cared about their students and encouraged them to try their hardest. They helped you when you needed help, and most of all they encouraged you to be creative. Academically, this school prepared me well for intermediate school, (though I should warn that that the academic gap between intermediate school and college is slightly larger). One thing I would have liked is for there to have been more extracurricular activities (not just sport teams) for students. But then again with this school being a primary school there are limitations. I have no regrets choosing to go to this school (yes, it was my choice), and I am grateful for having such a warm and memorable time here in Marshall Laing."
