Firstly, our original location is nestled in the vibrant heart of Victoria University of Wellington's Kelburn Campus. Since 2015, The Lab Uni has been a go-to spot for VUW students and staff, providing them with fast and fresh lunch options, delectable smoothies, invigorating cold-press juices, and specialty coffee. We take pride in offering these culinary delights at an affordable price, ensuring that everyone can enjoy a satisfying meal.
For those seeking a corporate-hub atmosphere, our second location on the ground floor of the Deloitte Building on Customhouse Quay is the perfect choice. With a bustling kitchen and ample space to accommodate both small and large groups, The Lab XXCQ serves exceptional food and drink that perfectly complements the workweek from Monday to Friday.
In early 2018, we expanded our reach with our third location at Press Hall, a trendy "upmarket food-court" just off Willis Street. This venue caters to the busy CBD crowd, offering contemporary made-to-order breakfast and lunch options. At The Lab Press Hall, we aim to provide a culinary experience that caters to the fast-paced lifestyle of the central city.
Last but not least, our latest project is our flagship store on Victoria Street. Opened just after the Covid-19 lockdown in 2020, The Lab Vic St. is our first classic Wellington cafe, unattached to any institution. Here, you can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, a full Brunch menu, and wide windows that allow you to soak in the vibrant city life as you savor your meal.

"Location is good in the centre of the city. Decore and atmosphere was a bit sterile, no buzz to it if you like that sort of thing. Food and coffee was okay but nothing great. Service was also okay, but not that friendly."

"Won't be coming back. Forgot my order last time. This time got seated next to the bathroom even though there were lots of empty seats. They basically fenced of part of the restaurant to speed service up which would be good if the service was any good. The Lab is basically the MacDonalds of cafes designed to get you in and out as fast as possible with uncomfortable chairs loud accostics and below average service that makes you go to the counter for any service right down to the sugar for your coffee. Wellington has far better cafes than this."
