Laingholm Kindergarten

Welcome to Laingholm Kindergarten, located on Huia Road in Auckland, New Zealand. As an establishment and point of interest, we pride ourselves on providing a high-quality educational experience for young children. Sustainability is a key focus at Laingholm Kindergarten, and we were recently recognized as runners-up in the Auckland Community Zero Waste Awards. We participate in the Enviroschools program and have achieved Green-Gold status, demonstrating our commitment to creating a healthy and sustainable world.

At Laingholm Kindergarten, we believe in fostering strong links to the local community, which is deeply embedded within our philosophy. We are proud to have created a 'Plastic Bag' free environment and actively support sustainable practices within our community.

Our outdoor play area is truly amazing, offering children expansive and natural spaces to explore. We believe that the outdoors is a classroom without walls, where children can learn about the natural world and embrace opportunities for risk and challenge.

Our Kindergarten follows best practices that support learning through play. Our dedicated teaching team is attentive to children's emergent curriculum, recognizing and responding to their individual strengths and interests. Family and community are integral to the experience here, and we encourage parents and whanau (extended family) to be involved in every possible way.

We take great delight in providing a rich and challenging environment where children can explore and lead their own learning. Our Kindergarten has a strong focus on environmental education and sustainability, with a curriculum that embraces both the bi-cultural heritage of New Zealand and the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi.

We operate Monday to Friday from 8.45am to 2.45pm, and our office hours are from 8am to 4.45pm. Please note that we are closed during term breaks and public holidays.
