Ahutoetoe School

Welcome to Ahutoetoe School, a vibrant and innovative primary school located in the beautiful Wainui area of New Zealand. Our institution is dedicated to creating partnerships and working collaboratively with others to build a future-focused school that truly reflects our community.

At Ahutoetoe School, we are committed to providing an exceptional educational experience for our students. Our Ruxton Road Campus, our temporary site, is now up and running, serving as a hub for approximately 350 learners. Equipped with 11 classrooms and an administration block, this campus provides a nurturing environment for our students to thrive.

In addition to our primary school facilities, we are proud to host a satellite unit for Wairau Valley Special School. This inclusive approach allows us to cater to the diverse needs of our students and create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Exciting developments are underway at Ahutoetoe School, as our main school building is currently under construction and scheduled for completion in early 2024. This two-story building will feature flexible learning spaces, maker spaces, break out rooms, a large hall, admin space, and Mahi Tahi, our library and community space. We will also be accommodating the Wairau Valley Special School unit and a Northern Health School unit in purpose-built buildings on our campus.

At Ahutoetoe School, we follow a term-based academic calendar, with Term 1 running from Wednesday 1st February to Thursday 6th April. We observe important public holidays such as Waitangi Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Anzac Day, Queens Birthday, and Matariki. Term 3 begins on Monday 17th July and concludes on Friday 22nd September, while Term 4 runs from Monday 9th October to Friday 15th December, with a break for Labour Day on 23rd October.
