Whenuapai School

Welcome to Whenuapai School, located in Auckland, New Zealand. We are a vibrant and inclusive primary school that values the growth and development of our tamariki (children) and whanau (family).

As we embark on the new school year, our dedicated team at Whenuapai School has been working tirelessly to create a stimulating and motivating learning environment. Our focus is on nurturing passionate lifelong learners who are empowered to reach their full potential.

With approximately 500 students from Year 1 to Year 8, Whenuapai School offers a state, co-educational education. Our learning spaces have been recently refurbished, providing modern and comfortable classrooms for our students. Additionally, our beautiful grounds boast large playing spaces, allowing for plenty of outdoor activities.

What sets us apart is our unique location next to the Royal New Zealand Air Force Base. This close working relationship allows our students to benefit from various opportunities and experiences. We aim to instill our core values of Respect Self, Respect Others, Respect Learning, and Respect Environment in all aspects of our curriculum and daily learning.

At Whenuapai School, we have an exceptional and dedicated staff who are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of our students. We hold high expectations for all learners and strive to provide a curriculum that fosters core literacy and numeracy skills while embracing all subjects of the New Zealand Curriculum. Our goal is to nurture creativity and student agency, allowing our tamariki to explore their interests and develop a well-rounded education.

In addition to academic pursuits, our students have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of sports and cultural activities. We believe in the importance of fostering a strong sense of belonging and connection within our supportive community.
