Welcome to Waioneke School, a primary school located in the picturesque South Head area of New Zealand. Our institution is not only an establishment and a point of interest, but also a place where deep learning, respect, honesty, integrity, responsibility, tolerance, and empathy are fostered.

At Waioneke School, our primary focus is to nurture confident, lifelong learners who are empowered to imagine and achieve their aspirations. Situated on the stunning Kaipara Peninsula, just 22 kilometers past the Parakai Hot Pools, our school offers breathtaking views of the surrounding area. Each of our classrooms has its own unique and awe-inspiring view, allowing students to connect with nature and appreciate the beauty of our local farms and native bush.

For over 50 years, Waioneke School has been providing quality co-educational education to the families of Helensville and the neighboring areas. We are a unique kura that embraces the spirit of innovation and progressive education. Learning at our school is co-constructed with students, inquiry-based, and pursued through authentic contexts. We understand that learning is no longer just about memorizing concepts and curriculum, but an active process where students actively participate and develop transferable skills.

We operate on a term-based system, with Term 1 running from Monday 1st February to Thursday 6th April, Term 2 from Wednesday 26th April to Friday 30th June, Term 3 from Monday 17th July to Friday 22nd September, and Term 4 from Monday 9th October to Friday 15th December (TBC).
