Welcome to Hobsonville Kindergarten, located at 34a Trig Road, Auckland, New Zealand. At Hobsonville Kindergarten, we believe that all children are gifts and we celebrate the unique skills, knowledge, and life experiences that each child brings with them.

We strongly believe in the power of free play, as it empowers children to take responsibility for their own learning and development, fostering a lifelong passion for learning. We also emphasize the importance of learning together, helping children develop independence and interdependence skills.

Whānaungātanga, which means respect for people, places, and things, is the foundation of our daily practice. We acknowledge and respect Tiriti ō Waitangi and strive to create an environment that upholds the values and beliefs of both treaty partners. We embrace the diversity of cultures within our kindergarten whānau (family) and aim to be a part of a democratic, inclusive, safe, and happy community.

We highly value the role of whānau (family) as their child's first teacher, recognizing their unique knowledge of their child. Partnerships between teachers, whānau, children, and the wider community are at the heart of our teaching practice. We welcome and empower all participants within the Kindergarten community to share their knowledge, ideas, and expertise.

As part of the Auckland Kindergarten Association (AKA), we provide a different experience compared to typical daycare centers in Hobsonville. Kindergartens and the AKA have a well-established reputation for being top quality centers of learning, with innovative and creative teaching methods. Our kindergartens also have close links with local primary schools, helping children transition smoothly into their next educational journey.

We offer more than just care - we help shape the citizens of today and leaders of tomorrow. Our children are confident, articulate, and competent in their play. Our kindergarten operates from Monday to Friday, with hours from 8.30am to 2.30pm. Our office hours are from 8am to 4.45pm on weekdays. Please note that we are closed during term breaks and public holidays.
