"So much here the could be great, but just isn't quite there. Food was really lovely, flavoursome and well presented. Loved the food, really good effort. What I was a little disappointed with was, it is almost impossible to find a menu. All the blackboards are wiped clean, and there is no idea what is what. Staff are quite confused and easily flustered. When you do find a menu, there is a reasonable choice of lunches. Today's effort was Grilled Mediterranean...and... Pork and Apple Sausage Rolls. I know they sell teas and coffees and cakes here.... But without asking, you have absolutely no idea. There are really lovely tables to sit on the outside deck overlooking the lake (if you can find one that is not covered with plates). And, I would love to see some of the tables whiped down occasionally as well... Doesn't happen... Would be nice with colds.... Flu.... Covid etc. Shame really, last time I was here I loved the place, this time... Not so much. Maybe it was just a bad day."
"This a perfect spot to stop for brunch or morning tea. We had the show stopping scones with some coffee. The view is fantastic. This is a must stop. Highly recommend."
"Beautiful teahouse overlooking the Lake here. All the food is excellent, with everything like jam being prepared in-house. The scones are fantastic! Would highly recommend going here if you are up in the Atherton Tablelands."
"What a great little find, the lake and view are beautiful and quiet. Tea house food we got was all really lovely and well priced. Also picnic tables to bring your own lunch down and a walking track. Also saw an amazing fresh water eel from the balcony."
"Exceptional food. Our party had an avocado smash and the Devonshire Tea. The scones are always fabulous. School holiday special... buy breakfast or lunch & get the lake cruise for $10!"
