Welcome to AAFCANS Harry Cafe, located at Annandale, Lavarack Barracks in Australia. As a cafe and food establishment, we are proud to be a part of the not-for-profit organization AAFCANS, which has been supporting our soldiers and airmen/airwomen since 1915. Owned by the Army and Air Force, AAFCANS is dedicated to providing convenient access to quality food, beverage, and retail items for Defence members.

At AAFCANS Harry Cafe, we strive to create a comfortable and modern space for our customers. In January 2020, we revamped our interior, replacing the dated design with a relaxed industrial style ambiance. The addition of designer lighting, reclaimed timber features, and soft furnishings adds to the welcoming atmosphere. Our cafe offers a range of gourmet coffee, a new tea range, and delicious food options. Whether you're looking for a quick coffee fix, a snack, or some precious me time, our cafe is the perfect spot. Guests can enjoy casual home-style dining tables, high and low seating, board games, books, and even a 65-inch big screen for entertainment.

AAFCANS is not just a cafe, but also a point of interest and store. We operate a diverse network of food services across 30 Army and Air Force bases throughout Australia. Our facilities, including canteens, kiosks, a tavern, and bistro, are specifically designed to meet the needs of our soldiers, airmen/airwomen, and base residents. Additionally, we provide a range of mobile amenities, such as food vans, all-terrain mobile amenities kiosks, coffee carts, retail pods, and container kiosks. These amenities can be deployed alongside our troops to support military exercises and field operations.

Our commitment to technology-driven service delivery is evident in our strategic plan. AAFCANS is piloting an online ordering and delivery service called 'AAFCANS On-Demand' at RAAF Base Amberley. This app-based service aims to expand our amenities reach on Defence bases, allowing members to order food and retail items for direct delivery.

In addition to our food and beverage offerings, AAFCANS also partners with Australian veteran-owned coffee supplier Beraldo Coffee. Distributed across our network of coffee outlets on 26 ADF bases, Beraldo Coffee supports us with professional barista training for our local cafe team.

When you support AAFCANS, you are not only enjoying delicious food and beverages, but also contributing to the welfare of our Defence members. Through our automated retail vending program, we contributed over half a million dollars to Air Force and Army welfare in the 2018/2019 financial year. The profits from our vending machines are disbursed back to the bases where they were generated, benefitting the local welfare funds.

AAFCANS also offers additional services on base, including barbers, hairdressers, post offices, mechanical workshops, clothing retailers, dry cleaners, photographers, and banks. These services are provided on our behalf by licensed agents.
