Established in 1980, Kubach Jewellers has been serving the greater Cairns area and beyond for over 40 years. Originally known as B & R Kubach Manufacturing Jewellers, the business started in a workroom upstairs in City Arcade, Cairns. In 2004, we took over the business and rebranded it as Kubach Jewellers.

For more than 30 years, we mainly focused on trade work and were the main jeweler for Kevin Shorey and Co, a well-known and respected jewelry retail shop in Cairns. When Kevin Shorey decided to retire in 2016, we saw an opportunity to expand and open a shopfront. This allowed us to deal directly with all of Kevin Shorey and Co.'s existing clients and welcome new clients to our business.

Our aim is to continue delivering the best service, quality workmanship, and trust that clients had come to expect through Kevin Shorey and Co. In addition to jewelry design, cleaning, repairs, re-sizes, and restorations, we also offer custom-made pieces. Our expertise extends beyond jewelry, as we can repair other valuable items. Some of our recent work includes making Life Member badges, repairing silver teapots, gold Lorgnette glasses (antique glasses), and restoring religious relics.
