Conveniently situated only a 5-minute drive from Kuranda Village, the tavern offers easy access to the Barron Gorge National Park, the Douglas and Smith Walking Tracks, a horse riding school, and nearby kids playgrounds and tennis courts. Additionally, there is a general bus stop to Kuranda, Cairns, and Mareeba, providing convenient transportation options.

For accommodation, we offer 10 cabins overlooking the picturesque Groves Creek, providing a perfect platform to observe the diverse range of native wildlife. The tranquil and breathtaking backdrop of our tavern sets the scene for all functions and special occasions. We also offer the Amphitheatre as an additional celebration or function attraction.

Join us for lunch from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm on Saturdays and Sundays, or for dinner from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm, available every day of the week. To enhance your experience, we now provide regular entertainment featuring local bands and buskers.

Our tavern features a range of amenities, including a built rock and plunge pool, a function and entertainment area, and a traditional fireplace for those cooler winter months. Guests can also enjoy our garden, picnic area, and complimentary coffee/tea in a common area. For added convenience, we offer complimentary onsite self-parking and, for a surcharge, a roundtrip airport shuttle (available on request). Please note that the Speewah Country Tavern is a smoke-free property.
