"Location and apartment size is great but downside is the place incredibly dirty. There was nothing clean in this apartment even with hair all over the blankets and thick dust everywhere. Pool wasn't clean either."

"Stayed Easter weekend , dirty , 5 dining chairs for 6 people in 3 bedroom apt . Some power points need replacing , oven not working properly , kitchen tap broken plus many other issues . Unit is not being maintained . We will not stay here ever again . Management don’t seem to care ."

"Three stars isn’t a bad review… We absolutely loved staying at Le grande, and would come back in a heartbeat. We particularly loved the late eighties retro décor in our huge ocean side apartment, and went to sleep listening to the sounds of the ocean everyday. Everyone who worked there was super friendly, particularly Helen. However, there are quite a few safety issues that need to be addressed especially if you have young children… We were on the 6th floor and (1)There was no safety glass in the windows (2)There were no flyscreens, so a million bugs would come in at night, riding on the super slow fans AND this meant a bloody huge drop out the window - terrifying for anyone with small children. Like I said, loved the late eighties retro vibe as I’m sure everything other than the oven and tv had not been updated since 1989. This included the microwave ( I swear my mum had the same one in the eighties ) and the lamps in the apartment. They were so old you had to push a bar at the top for them to work (cute), but they all flickered and sparked at the plug. This also included a power-board that had seen better days, in the lounge room which sparked when you touched any of the plugs. Again, total nightmare if you have small people running around and getting into everything. Another thing to mention was the lack of wifi. The receptionist apologised and explained that there was a problem with the internet and it would be fixed in a few days. We weren’t that bothered, we had the ocean outside and a lovely pool and a gym as part of the complex. Honestly, you shouldn’t be worried about staring at a device in a place like this, just enjoy it! This was a really lovely apartment, just stuck in a rather quaint, late eighties time-warp."

"Great overall experience here. Staff is super nice and attentive. Kudos to the team for running it well. They are very accomdative and flexible. Place is great has a nice pool, sauna and a gym. The prices go up over the weekends understandably. Here for about a week and nothing better than relaxing in front of the beach."

"Four friends & I stayed here on the weekend. When booking we rang and enquired about the room configuration. We needed to sleep 5 and that we were after a 3 bedroom apartment where no one had to share a bed. We were told they had a room with a queen & two rooms both with two single beds. They confirmed it was available and we could book online and add it to the notes. When we went to check in that room configuration was two rooms with queen beds, and one with two singles. We had written confirmation of our request, however there was zero care factor from the staff. They said they only the room with this configuration and it was occupied. They initially offered a trundle bed, but wanted us to pay extra for that. Eventually they did provide the trundle free of charge. However they only delivered the trundle at 10:30am the next day (following several follows up with the staff). This meant one of our group had to sleep on the lounge on the first night. The room itself was ok, just an older building that could do with some maintenance. You do get a great view of the beach. However it's the same view from any number of other apartments on the Gold Coast."
