Our team consists of dedicated and experienced nursing and secretarial staff who are committed to providing exceptional service.
At Macarthur Urology, we are actively involved in clinical urology, education, research, and administration of the public and private hospitals in our area. Our members attend prestigious hospitals such as Campbelltown Public and Private Hospitals, Liverpool Public and Sydney Southwest Private Hospital, Southern Highlands Private Hospital, Hurstville Private Hospital, and the Chris O'Brien Lifehouse. This allows us to stay at the forefront of the latest technology and evidence-based practices, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.
We offer a wide range of services to address various urological conditions. Our in-office objective assessments, including flow and urodynamic studies, are performed by experienced professionals. We also provide comprehensive treatments for kidney stones, help assess and manage sexual dysfunction, and offer permanent treatment for urethral stricture disease.
To arrange an appointment with any of our urologists or at any of our locations, please call our central phone number 02 4628 4719. Our experienced secretaries will guide you through the booking process and gather the necessary information. It is important to note that a referral is required from another health professional to be eligible for Medicare coverage.
When attending your appointment, please bring a current referral letter, your Medicare card, any recent medical scans, blood or urine test results, and your pension or DVA card if applicable. If you have private health insurance, please provide the details as well.
Our consultation fees vary depending on the urologist, and you will be informed of the consultation fee at the time of booking. If a procedure is required, any operative fees will be discussed in detail during the consultation to ensure informed financial consent.
During your consultation, your urologist will thoroughly discuss the different treatment options available to you. We have informative handouts and resources both in our rooms and on our website to assist you in understanding your condition and treatment options. Our experienced practice nurses are also available to provide additional support and information.
Following any procedure, you will be provided with clear follow-up instructions. This may involve another consultation with your urologist, a consultation with the practice nurse, an appointment at the public hospital, follow-up with your GP, a repeat procedure, or any other necessary arrangements.
In light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we strictly adhere to the guidelines mandated by NSW Health. These guidelines may change, and we will keep you informed of any requirements. If necessary, we will advise you to wear a mask during your appointment. Additionally, we offer telehealth consultations when appropriate to ensure your safety and convenience.
At Macarthur Urology, your health and well-being are our top priorities. We are committed to providing exceptional urological care and look forward to serving you.

"I consider Macarthur Urology a most professional and caring team. Dr Wong first saw me in mid October last year after a high PSA reading. Through his detailed testing regime my aggressive prostate cancer was confirmed and I was subsequently fast tracked to see Dr Haghighi (surgeon). My surgery was complicated by the fact that I am on blood thinners, however this was managed brilliantly by Kayvan (Dr Haghighi) and the robotic operation was a success. Dr Haghighi was also available on mobile if required post surgery and the nurses were also readily available and check up on me on a regular basis. Everyone was incredibly warm, friendly and informative so nothing came as a surprise through this whole ordeal. Thank you. Duncan."
"Was referred to one of the doctors at this practice by a GP for prostate evaluation. Paid $163.20 out of pocket for consultation. Blood test requested. Follow up consultation to be via phone when the doctor is free one Thurs per month. So possibily a five minute phone call from the doctor anytime during that day. If your work does not allow you to put on hold customer calls you need to take or stop a machine, in order to answer non work related calls, then tough luck. Staff at the surgery do not understand this and will not forward follow on patient care report to the referring GP without the phone consultation or another $163.20 visit to the surgery. One has to work to pay for the high specialist fees required. The surgery staff / doctor are not going to release the report and if one is unable to take a day off work again for a 5 min consultation, then it is useless paying the fees. A stalemate. If one is referred to this specialist practice, find out if you are going to be able to take phone consultation before getting a referral. I plan not going to this specialist again and will ask the GP to not refer patients to Macarthur urology as patient care is poor and staff have the attitude of 'take it or can not help'. Now that I know, I will go elsewhere."
"Waited 2 months for an appointment to see Dr Haghighi. On my first appointment he promised to fix me. 3 months later, I am worse than ever and wasted over $1000. Worst thing I have ever done is attend this practice. I now have a 2 month wait to see another specialist not in this practice and hopefully get some treatment. Avoid at all costs."
"I had my prostate removed by Dr Kayvan Haghighi in December 2019. Kayvan has always been very caring and sympathetic. He gave me his mobile number in case I had any complications. I developed an urinary tract infection on Christmas Day and we phoned him at dinner time. He arranged for me to be admitted to Liverpool Hospital and never made any complaint about interrupting his Christmas dinner."
