About the Business
Welcome to Gyoza Gyoza, the home of Melbourne's best dumplings and izakaya-style dining experience! Located in the heart of Melbourne on Little Bourke Street, our establishment offers a unique and affordable Japanese restaurant experience that you won't find anywhere else.
What sets us apart is our focus on izakaya-style dining. In Japan, izakayas are popular establishments similar to pubs, where you can enjoy a menu of small-sized dishes and great drinks in a warm and inviting atmosphere. At Gyoza Gyoza, we aim to bring this authentic experience to Melbourne, with every dish priced from just $6.80.
Our menu features a wide variety of Japanese cuisine, with a particular emphasis on gyoza, or Japanese dumplings. We pride ourselves on using fresh local produce and traditional gyoza-making techniques to create the freshest and finest dumplings in town. From the delicate gyoza skins to the juicy fillings, every bite is a taste of Japan.
But it's not just the food that makes Gyoza Gyoza special. Izakaya-style dining is also known for its wide selection of drinks, and we have you covered in that department too. From sake and shochu to Japanese whisky and plum wine, we offer a range of alcoholic beverages to complement your meal. And if alcohol isn't your thing, we also have a large selection of non-alcoholic drinks to choose from.
With six branches across Melbourne, including in Chinatown, Emporium Melbourne, Melbourne Central, Chadstone Shopping Centre, Westfield Doncaster, and Adelaide, there's always a Gyoza Gyoza nearby. Each location has its own specialty dishes and monthly promotions, ensuring that every visit is a new and exciting experience.

Reviews
"We were glad that we dined in here. The service was exceptional before we even decided to dine here. The staff took time to explain the menus to us while we were at the door. It's a tapas style dinner. The food was good quality and the service was impeccable, especially love their scallops, oysters, chicken skewers and karaage chicken. Glad that we celebrated my birthday here :)"
"Service and food amazing. We got a hole table full of delicious veggie food and enjoyed our dinner. 10/10 would recommend!"
"My friends and I really enjoyed our dinner here. Their hot udon soup was so nice - the dashi broth was tasty and the noodles were bouncy. Their zaru soba was really tasty too. We also ordered the cheesy chicken karaage, which had the perfect balance of saltiness, sweetness and savoury-ness. Their wagyu beef and teriyaki chicken stone pot rice were so delicious, and so was their Japanese curry. They were packed with so many wonderful flavours. The staff were kind and friendly."
"Everything used to be $6.80 back in the good old days. We popped in for dinner last night, had a few dishes (one of which included a piece of metal which I bit straight into) and a sake tasting that never arrived. Food is nowhere near what it used to be, service was slow and they seemed overworked. We got a discount for the metal (seemed like we weren't the only ones) and 10% on top discount. We won't be back."
"Tapas style Japanese food with creative and delicious drinks and great beer selection! I was shocked at their diverse Japanese beer selection and equally shocked at the price of the final bill (reason it’s not 5/5). It was delicious but many meals were a tad cold when they came out including the yakitori. Service was wonderful and our family enjoyed their meal. I look for are to trying the seafood menu next time! Too bad they don’t have any rice dishes on their menu."
