"Food was just okay. Doesn’t taste authentic and the noodles were really bland. The dumplings were good but the rest were underwhelming. Coming from an asian country with so much Chinese restaurants, this doesn’t make the cut. Chinese food can be so much better. The service was a plus because the food came really really fast. The building was also quite nice."
"Was expecting great authentic dumplings and a mix of Shanghai street cuisine, but this establishment, whilest busy - was quite a disappointment last night. Our dumplings lacked the taste and variety to compete with the mass dumpling market available and the spring onion pancakes were hard as cardboard and bland, with a side serve of oiliness. Roast pork buns were the highlight for us, but even they were pretty average and only shone in comparison to the other dishes. Excessively noisy, dirty with outdated decor- hard to get any service or ask questions from the staff- all food had to be ordered thru barcode and staff only dump the dishes or cans of drink on the table and run off, ignoring questions. No seperate billing- whole table must pay together. Best I can say....quick turnaround of food and customers, but I won't be back!"
"Visiting from Sydney and ran into this place. The food is awesome, prices are very reasonable and the service friendly. Prawn toast and BBQ pork buns a must!! Look forward to coming back there when im in Melbourne next!"
"Food was okay, some taste good some taste plain. Had to say that their food is not authentic and definitely not great shanghai food. The atmosphere is even worst, dirty and old. You will need a torchlight with you if you ever need to go to male bathroom. As the walkway has no light and you had to climb a stairs in that situation."
