"Food is not the case at all. Although the service is good, it has to be one of my worst experiences of having Guang Dong food. As a Hong Konger, everything we ordered is not what it's tasted. We ordered 生抄骨,you gave me 咕嚕肉, what is going on. We ordered 梅菜扣肉,there's no any taste of that dish what is supposed to be at all. We ordered 蒜蓉炒菜苗,you gave us 上湯菜苗。 We ordered 臘味煲仔飯,the rice is wet, and there's no flavor in the whole thing. Does the chef even know what he is doing here? My friends and I had the worst experience ever. And I'm not sure why, or maybe it is the weekend, we have to spend at least 50 dollars per person !!!!?????"
"Good Chinese cuisine, more on the expensive side. Service is fast, efficient and cold. The staff know the dishes well and can explain each dish clearly. The hot and sour soup definitely hit the right spots on a cold night. Do check with the staff on how spicy you want the soup to be. We took normal and found it to be surprisingly spicy. We enjoyed the XO beans very much with the smoky wok flavour coming through pleasantly. The wagu beef was melt in the mouth tender though it lacked all beefy taste to it. All the other dishes that we ordered was really delicious. Dessert of lava black sesame balls coated in crushed peanuts was a nice end to our meal. There is a $50 minimum spend per person for dinner, which is easily achievable due to the pricing of the food. A restaurant that I will keep coming back. Highly recommend and bookings are necessary."
"One of the freshest seafood Chinese restaurants in Melbourne. They have hand sized green lip abalone and massive sized lobsters. All the dishes were extremely tasty and well presented. Even though they said one hour for each seating during lunch time, we stayed well over as we ordered mains instead of Yum Cha dishes which took longer to prepare. Definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys fresh seafood."
"Always serves us delicious, reliable food. However, it is at a premium cost - starting price $14 ish for 3 small dumplings. There is a $30 per head minimum spend, 60 minute maximum table time, and no more yum cha trolleys. Service is attentive and polite, with staff doing a great job, but it is clear they are under pressure to get you out the door in 60 minutes. For the price, I don’t know if the experience is quite worth it anymore."
"Expectations were set high given the exy prices (double the price per yum cha dish). However, quality was just average and not as flavoursome as other places. Certainly not worth the $125 bill! Cons: no yum cha trolleys and need to order off paper menu. Lacks the hustle and bustle."
