About the Business
Welcome to Zambrero South Yarra, located on Chapel Street in the heart of Australia's vibrant city. As an establishment, food, point of interest, and restaurant, we take pride in serving delicious Mexican cuisine with a unique twist. But we're more than just a restaurant - we're a movement for change.
Through our Plate 4 Plate initiative, we have been able to donate millions of meals to those in need. When you choose to dine with us, your meal makes a difference. For every big or regular burrito/bowl, Kids Zam Box, or retail item you purchase, we donate a meal to someone in need on your behalf. Join the Zam Fam on Friday 13 October to pack meals for those in need at one of our packing locations across Australia.
If you can't make it to one of our restaurants, don't worry! We have a few ways for you to get your Feel Good Mex fix. Our menu is freshly-prepared, focusing on modern, superfood ingredients to bring bold and delicious flavors to your favorite Mexican dishes.
But what truly sets us apart is our people and culture. Our team members, part of the Zam Fam, love rolling the burritos you love and helping to end world hunger. We're not like other restaurants - we're different, and we're proud of that.
Planning an event or function? Zambrero offers catering suitable for any occasion, with the option of in-restaurant collection or delivery (select restaurants). Simply fill out the online order form and send it to your local restaurant. Please give our team at least 24 hours' notice for large orders, as they may take some time to prepare.
In addition to our commitment to ending world hunger, we are thrilled to announce our partnership with Cronulla Sharks and SurfAid for 2023. We believe in making a positive impact not just within our restaurant walls, but also in the wider community.
So come join us at Zambrero South Yarra for a Feel Good Mexican dining experience like no other. Your meal will not only satisfy your taste buds but will also make a difference in someone's life. Together, let's make a change, one plate at a time.

"I love Zambrero’s burritos. My order was prepared right after I ordered and I received it within less than 5 minutes. The price is also affordable. Would go back again."
"Hit or miss portion size and service. You can now upsize a burrito bowl, which is worth it. But depending on staff, you could end up with a paltry serve sometimes in the past. The staff are also usually unaware of which salsas contain certain ingredients (e.g. coriander). The owner (?) or a certain female member of staff offen behind the counter is unfriendly and seems to always be annoyed. Always used to love coming here, but find it increasingly difficult to rationalise spending close to $20 for fast casual Mexican when better options are available at a similar price point."
"I love Zambrero's burritos, something about the taste, so good. I always get the Burrito IQ with beef. It's called the signature burrito now. They have a small or large size. The small is like a bit disappointing, it's smaller than like a regular size. But yet the large is hugely bigger. I wish they just had a regular and a large size. There is no middle size for this goldilocks. The prices are far cheaper in store than on any delivery app, just FYI. Also, and not sure if it's the restaurant or the delivery person, so don't put too much weight on this, but more than once the drink in my order has not arrived."
""I used to love going to Zambrero for their delicious food, but after the change of ownership, the quality has gone downhill. The taste of the food is simply terrible now, with bland flavors and poor quality ingredients. It's such a shame to see a once great restaurant go downhill so quickly. The service has also taken a hit, with staff seeming uninterested and unfriendly. It's clear that the new owners have no idea how to run a restaurant properly and are cutting corners wherever they can. Overall, I would strongly advise against going to Zambrero under the new ownership. It's a far cry from what it used to be and is simply not worth the money anymore.""
"Over other Mexican food franchises, I love the food from Zambrero but this time something went wrong. I placed the order for a bowl through DoorDash for delivery. Quantity was really really very less not sure about the reason!! Also, they serve the orders without cutleries. Definitely, will not order from this store next time."
