Reviews of Coco Rice Thai Restaurant
"I was not happy with my vegan pad Thai. It was so dry and I can’t find any sauce in it. I was advised that they will add tofu or soy products to it but can’t find to my disappointment. When I rang to give my feedback, the lady said next time we’ll ensure more sauce in it on request. But Thai restaurants have their own recipe of pad thai which should satisfy the recipe of a standard pad thai, right. But lady kept saying sorry, that’s all. Hence not a good place for vegetarian and vegan choices of customers!"
"I’ve been here a few times, like to support local business, the last order I ordered was a Thai beef salad, paid $20 for a small portion. Disappointed that I had to cook another meal at home just to get full. Taste was bland also with little to no flavour."
"2 nights ago we ordered stay chicken sticks and chicken fried rice. $31.00 for 4 chicken skewers was a bit on the expensive side. The rice was bland at best, and neither of us attempted a second chicken stick as there was definitely something wrong with the taste. Next morning we were both feeling sick and suffered terrible diahorea. I will not be eating from here again."
"3.2 - I had forgotten I had visited in the past and I tried the Tom Yum Noodle Soup this time. They forgot my noodle and I had to chase it up. The noodles were not delicious because the soup couldn't carry it. Service was ok but same as previous review - food average. I also got the fish cakes, and same as the Tom Yum, it had no kick to it. Also, nothing special or unique in taste. They did cater to have me seated during a busy period though but there are a lot of better tasting Thai restaurants out there. *** Service was fine, food was average, price was expensive. Ordered Green Chicken Curry but there wasn't many ingredients in there (See my photo!) And it didn't have any zing to it - very plain, Salt and Pepper Calamari was okay. Lots of chilli."
"Reasonable Thai place with ok food. There are no lunch specials so that hurts on the affordability stakes. We had the Tom Yum noodle soup, which was nice, lots of fragrant herbs (actual pieces of lemongrass and galangal, so they are not skimping on the ingredients). Problem is it was quite expensive at $18.90, but quite a large bowl. Also had Pad See Ew which had quite good flavour in the noodles. Problem is that the chicken they use is breast pieces, and these tend to dry out a lot, which is not to my liking"
