"Good hotel for stay in Melbourne. And nice service from Janella for my request for baby cot room requirement. For my more than a week stay here. Room was nice. Toilet is super good. All neat and clean. 1st day my baby dirtied the blanket. ibis hotel was nice to inform that room service can clear it. Really thankful for this prompt service. Will visit back here when I am back in MEL in future."

"Basic rooms, all rather dark. But functional and clean. Location near Vic Market is good but a fair way from the rest of the CBD. Good breakfast. WiFi ok most of the time but did cut out and go slow quite often. Friendly staff. Unfortunately my bed stank of something. They changed the sheets for me but it still smelled. I think someone had sprayed the mattress with some kind of cleaner or "freshener". It was quite annoying but i found the other side of the bed was better so moved over there for last 2 nights."

"To be fair I would not have exactly chosen this place on my own accord but was forced to as Blackpink tickets were scarce and had no choice but to purchase them via Sound Travel Event platform who organized the Hotel + Ticket package. Mind you this was a $1000 ticket for 1 night stay and C reserve tickets at Rod Laver which in hindsight is a complete rip off. I get this is a 3 star hotel but compared to the rooms they have pictured online I felt like we got the dodgiest rooms with a very dated bathroom with icky tiles that reminded me of public showers, carpet that had that dry but tacky residue, so I was afraid of contracting tinea and or bedbugs, the glasses, cups, saucers were all mismatched. The bed was clean but not enough room for 2 people who were not intimate to have a comfortable sleep on, this annoyed me because I requested to have 2 single beds instead of 1 double months and months in advance. There is a lot of obvious repairs and maintenance that needs to be done to make this place 3 star because stains, scratches, peeling paint, chips, broken vents, smears on almost every surface especially the corridors and lift are unacceptable. I didn't use any of the cups and kettles because I just feel like the hotel was one big unsanitary dump. I just wanted to leave to be honest. Buffet breakfast was basic but adequate for what it is, the staff at the restaurant were nice also. I really don't want to nag and complain and I don't think its housekeeping's fault that the place is run down, this place needs a massive overhaul because compared to the level of what a 3 star hotel is like in Japan the Ibis is like a backpackers. To management, have a little bit more insight to what your hotel actually looks like beyond the foyer."

"Great spot I always come back to when travelling for work. Quiet inside, perfect amount of hustle and bustle outside. Clean rooms, friend service staff at the counter and always feel comfortable during my stays. 5 stars, but the lift are needing a bit of TLC, but they work and I get to my floor. Wifi is not great either. Video calling is a no go, steaming is rough, and working remote is tough. Could offer a paid premium wifi for those needing the extra speed and willing to pay for it like me. Will continue coming back for work travel and leisure if I ever find the time."

"Absolute hole of a place. Would not recommend. They provide rooms for 4 people but they limit wifi users to 3 people. Power cuts off when you plug the toaster in. 2 pillows provided for a queen bed. Safe didn’t work. Everything very basic and budget. Service terrible. Minor problems meet with “is that all” type of response. Can’t understand how you could enjoy a stay here. Advertised the place to look nice but still in the 80s."
