"Stayed here for 2 nights recently for Babymetal and Oz Comic-con and the staff were superb, the room was excellent and the service was top notch, the staff there treated me with the utmost respect! Even with a late booking after a screw around from a previous hotel they were still able to accommodate myself and my mate in our own separate rooms!"

"Will never forget the way receptionist Maria treated me at the front desk. When I asked about additional fees they may have for a late checkout, she blankly stared at me, gave a very vague unthoughtful response and snickered as if I was being dumb and a nuisance for even asking. And when there was an error that I made about pre payment for the room, instead of showing good customer service and being respectful, she straight up laughed out loud in my face. Maria made me feel stupid and terrible, and that alone is enough for me to never recommend or stay at this hotel again."

"Stayed here for one week. It's a good base when exploring the city as tram/bus stops near. Clean room with a spacious kitchen, but no cookingware though. Some people complain about missing paintjob but thats how architecture is these days. Friendly staff and housekeeping. 100$ deposit during stay. Would go again."

"AVOID - Naima Hotel, Melbourne. The accomodation itself was acceptable, however, the mishandling of the $200 bond was appalling. Over multiple weeks, it took countless calls to Naima reception until the proof of release was actioned 3 weeks after checkout (against your own guest contract - I have the receipts). I was hung up on, left on hold, and mislead consistently by Naima staff. Quick to transfer responsibility to your financial institution, even they confirmed the funds were still locked up with Naima. Other reviews state similar, but just like reception, I look forward to their defence response below! Terrible service, terrible business. Do better Naima Hotel."

"Undisclosed at the time of booking the hotel takes a $200 pre charge from your card. There is no minimal that would require such hold. Be forewarned. The first room I had suffered from a power failure, which took out the lights and appliances, and didn't trip the circuit breakers. I strongly suspect that the bare wires from these circuits were touching or were wired together. Faults like this cause fires. I was moved to another room that appeared to be unfinished, as the ceiling was bare concrete. Where the first had a glass induction hob, this had an old style protruding heating elements. It is difficult to know who the target audience is, as it would be suitable for students if priced competitively, but this over $200/night. Whilst there is the impression of good specification in the bathroom, a notable absence was a soft close toilet lid. Whilst there is body wash shampoo and conditioner provided, the conditioner is too thick to come out of the dispenser"
