"Stayed 2 nights in this dormer bungalow with family for my birthday. Just outside Kilkenny center so a car is a good idea. Check in is not until 3pm but check out is 10.00 am so a tad early especially as you have to tidy etc before you leave. We had two toddlers and a baby so it was a little noisey at times and the sound carries. It comes well equipped and wifi, there is an open fire and a nice small back garden. There is also off street parking. Would be better suited to families with older children."

"You need a car, it is far from supermarket. Convenient from the golf range for the golf lovers. It could be a lovely property, with a little bit more TLC. Convenient key box. Can only book per a calendar week. A bit impersonal. The cleaning needs a lot of improvement. Beddings are not irons and creased. Small towels, one per a bed. The fridge was dirty, and only with a margarine box from some time ago. Crumbs on the dining table, with chares on it. Dirty dishes in the dishwasher from previous occupancy. Washing in the washing machine, unknown clean or not. Open windows on all second floor in November? The owner needs a better caretaker for that listing."
"A comfortable self catering cottage not far from Kilkenny city centre. The TV was temperamental and there was a damp smell in the onsuite, and the bedrooms seemed to lack clothes hanging space WiFi is good as are the kitchen facilities"
"Very homely, nice sized bedrooms along with a great place to walk the dog directly across the road which also has a large bird sanctuary. I picked Kilkenny to celebrate my big birthday and certainly wasn't disappointed. We would definitely stay at Lovers' Lodge again. A house name on the wall would be helpful, a couple of takeaway deliveries got totally lost."
