Pembroke Hotel Kilkenny

"Basic rooms, great location but service leaves a lot to be desired. Requested room to be ready early which it wasn't but no biggie as check in time was stated as 4pm. First receptionist was friendly and said they would do their best to have room ready for 3.30pm. Went to wedding and returned. Next receptionist was very abrupt, didn't even check if the room was ready and just said 4pm. Next morning we were disturbed twice before 11am by cleaners which makes you wonder how rooms aren't ready until 4."

"This place was yet another pleasant and positive stop in my 2 week trip across Ireland. Centrally positioned in Kilkenny, it made it to where you can walk to almost anything you wanted to see. The room was very nice and enjoyable. The young man, and this is where I suck because I can not remember his name, but it was something like Thad... was awesome. He addressed me by name trying to sneak it past me, but I remembered that my shirt had my last name on it. He made the entire stay start off on the right foot."

"We stayed at the Pembroke March 2023. We had an issue with our room which the staff at the Pembroke went out of their way to make right for us. We cannot say enough about the staff and the location of the hotel. It is right in the heart of Kilkenny and the people at the front desk were the best. Also the bar staff introduced us to the Baby Guinness and we have been hooked! Thanks again for the great stay."

"Courtney was amazing in organising our stay here- super accommodating on trying to book us in during busy periods. Stayed in a room with a view of the castle which was lovely. Bed was super comfy and staff were all very helpful. Will definitely be returning"

"Absolutely gorgeous! Incredibly friendly staff, gorgeous room with a lovely shower and toiletries! Lovely and quiet and very comfortable bed. The breakfasts was incredible, with real personal touches, felt like such a treat :) in the heart of Kilkenny within walking distance of anything! Highly recommend!"
